June 2016[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Tourist attractions in the United Arab Emirates, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. OnionRing (talk) 14:21, 19 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Energy management, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Conservation. I've also identified copyright violations added to Economy of the United Arab Emirates, Education in the United Arab Emirates, Legal system of the United Arab Emirates, Gender Balance Council, and Clothing in the United Arab Emirates in the past day. Please do not copy and paste text from websites into Wikipedia. Most of the text you will find on the Internet is protected by copyright. Often the best course of action is instead to rephrase the text in your own words. If you're unfamiliar with paraphrasing, this resource is a good introduction. Please also take a few minutes to read this copyright FAQ. Thanks, /wiae /tlk 14:44, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Wiae. Thank you for the paraphrasing link, it is useful at this point. I will pay more attention to copyrighted sources. --MMC's (talk) 17:14, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Sure! If you look on the talk pages of the articles I've mentioned above, you'll see a list of the sources used, so you can use them to "rebuild" articles in your own words. If you ever have any questions about anything, don't hesitate to stop by my talk page. I'm always happy to help as much as I can, or direct you to someone with more experience than me if necessary. Content you added to the above article in this diff is an exact match with material found at http://www.oxfordbusinessgroup.com/overview/continued-expansion-infrastructure-investment-drives-sector-growth. Please don't add copyright material to this wiki, not even temporarily while you edit it. Do your preliminary work in an external editor, or do your copy edits before you hit save. I have done some additional paraphrasing so as to remove the copyright violation more completely. Please have a look at my edit here so that you can learn more how to avoid copyright violations. — Diannaa (talk) 02:00, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Bari Ye[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Bari Ye. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Baṛī ye. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Baṛī ye – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Savonneux (talk) 10:08, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

August 2016[edit]

Information icon Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. You are only writing positive things about this country. I have had to add material to make the article neutral, here. ThePlatypusofDoom (talk) 12:21, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

Hello, some of your work does not comply with Wikipedia policy. Can you read over this, this, and this? Thanks. ThePlatypusofDoom (talk) 14:10, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello ThePlatypusofDoom, please specify the concerned edit(s). Ta --MMC's (talk) 14:24, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Your articles in general tend to be positive towards the UAE, instead of neutral, and you have inserted copyright violations before. this article ignored the blatant human rights violations by the UAE, so I had to add content about that. This seems better suited to Wikivoyage than a Wikipedia article. ThePlatypusofDoom (talk) 14:29, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Gender Balance Council is promotional, and ignores this and this. ThePlatypusofDoom (talk) 14:32, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you ThePlatypusofDoom for bring to my awareness the neutrality part, I understand better now although I don't see the link between the GBC, religious law and human trafficking. The List, I don't see how its different from other lists of tourist attractions. --MMC's (talk) 13:35, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Angle (journalism)[edit]

Hello, MMC's,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Angle (journalism) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Angle (journalism) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,
