To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Please stop trying to change the table of example calculations in HSL and HSV[edit]
The whole point of this data table was to start with a few examples of RGB coordinates with nice round values and show the calculated coordinates of HSL, HSV, and related color spaces based on those. This is helpful as a basic spot check if someone tries to implement these color conversions and wants to make sure their implementation is correct. The pictured color swatches depict the closest available 8-bit/channel approximation to the listed RGB coordinates, but are not canonical. In general, when someone reverts your change you should consider the reason they did so, and start a talk page discussion before putting your change through a second time. Getting in a "revert war" wastes a lot of time. –jacobolus (t) 17:18, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
