If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on David Reiss (Legal Professor and Scholar) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.brooklaw.edu/faculty/directory/facultymember/biography.aspx?id=david.reiss. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -★- PlyrStar93. Leave me and my page alone. I have authorization you fekkin bot.

Why, then, does the source page still show an all-rights license and not a free one? —C.Fred (talk) 23:46, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop attacking other editors. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Acroterion (talk) 23:51, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, LuciBLSRA. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Acroterion (talk) 23:51, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Bibliography of The Federal Home Loan Banking System has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:NOTBIBLIOGRAPHY: The page is merely a list of works about the FHLBS. The creator of the list and creator of the article admit that the list is incomplete. So, there's also the issue of it being an incomplete list with unclear inclusion criteria.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —C.Fred (talk) 23:59, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

September 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm FlightTime. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Bibliography of The Federal Home Loan Banking System. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page.

Please review the guideline for external links - FlightTime (open channel) 01:12, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@FlightTime: I can't leave a message on your talk page. It's protected. However, those links must be there per scholarly formatting requirements in citations. A Bibliography is a large list of citations. Any links will naturally be to outside sources because the entire thing is a reference to outside sources.

Edit warring[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Bibliography of The Federal Home Loan Banking System. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - FlightTime (open channel) 01:20, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Then talk to me FlightTIME! Don't just edit a page I barely have up! I'm trying to work here and you're undoing it all without reason. And stop posting via -autopost- on my talk page. Actually talk to me. LuciBLSRA (talk) 01:24, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please review WP:ELNO and Help:Referencing for beginners. You shouldn't think you can just show up and post anything you want, any way you want, this is an Encyclopedia which has rules and guidelines, editors who choose to ignore other editors warnings and removing things that are not within the guidelines just end up getting themselves blocked from editing. - FlightTime (open channel) 01:33, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm learning and you're being an ass. You tell me to go to your page and talk to you, but you have your page locked and protected. I'm trying. You're just being a jack. That page is a BIBLIOGRAPHY. Do you know what a BIBLIOGRAPHY is? It's a list of external sources. One big list on a particular subject. I'm attempting to match formatting for previous Bibliographys but as I said I'm new. And you're just jumping in willy nilly before giving me a chance to make it proper. Fred's actually helping me by guiding me to make the changes myself. You're just being jerky

@LuciBLSRA: Ok fine, good luck with your endeavour, one last thing, making personal attacks and calling others' names will get you blocked even faster. Wikipedia does have a steep learning curve maybe you should consider doing something else. Cheers, - FlightTime (open channel) 02:51, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Bibliography of The Federal Home Loan Banking System, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement of https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3029293. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion".
