Welcome to Wikipedia! Many of the edits you have done are controversial and have been reverted. You are fully entitled to having your own thoughts about the borders of Europe, but you are not entitled to go around changing pages with nothing else than your own ideas as reason. Please argue your case at the talk pages of the articles you would want to see change. If you make a convincing case, chances are that the changes you want will be made. If you just go about changing according to your own perceptions, chances are your changes will be reverted. Wikipedia is about being able to verify our claims, not just to write what we think. Hungarian Passport[edit]

Hello fellow wikipedian, I would like to ask you why you constantly keep editing the hungarian passport page, changing some countries from asia to europe. I would like to tell you that countries such as turkey and kazakhstan, have nearly 3% of their territory in Europe, while the rest is in Asia geographically. Thus I consider them Asian in this case, as their european territories are minimal. I dont think that if they are members of a football association then thewy are considered of that continent. I would like to tell you that I consider Kazakhstan, Turkey and Azerbajan to be asian in the case of visa free terms, because it is territory we are talking about, and they are mainly in asia. So I would like you to take this into consideration and please change you edits in the hungarian passport page. Also, if you are from one of those countries and you feel bad because I say they are from Asia, you should tak into consideration this is made for other people to understant the page better. Waiting for your response --Philip200291 (talk) 03:47, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello I read your response, yes indeed cyprus is 100% in Asia, but it is considered 100% european in political issues, turkey and kazakhstan, in the other hand, are not considered european, they are considered to have territory in Europe, and thus making them eligible to EU membership, council membership etc, but it is clear they are geographically and politically located in asia. So as you are right stating that armenia and cyprus are in asia, I agree georgia and azerbajan shall stay in europe, as their territories in both continents are alike, but armenia, turkey, and kazakhstan must definetly go to asia, because they are mainly in asia. In the case of cyprus, it should stay inside the EU where it is, and if some of the above mentioned countries enters the EU, I promise I will not exclude them from the group and they should be considered european as well. Hoping u understand and waiting for ur response. --Philip200291 (talk) 02:49, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I still think this countries are in Asia, but do as you wish, open a new category that says European and Asian countries or something like that, and include there all the countries that you mentioned, except cyprus because it would be extremely unpractical and confusing to take it out from the EU just to cite it as Asian. --Philip200291 (talk) 22:25, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Middle East[edit]

I have reverted your edit with respect to the large number of controversial changes made without prior consensus and the fact that your edit summary did not reflect what you had actually changed. It's nice to see a new user being bold but in this particular case I think you may be pushing a POV (see WP:NPOV for why this is a problem). -Rushyo Talk 16:49, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stubs[edit]

Hi, I noticed your recent edits to a sub category. All new stubs and stub categories should be proposed at WikiProject Stub sorting and I noticed the creation of Category:Turkish Olympic medalist stubs‎ was not. A template usually needs 60 inclusions on articles before it is eligible for it's own category. At the moment, {{Turkey-Olympic-medalist-stub}} is only present in 36 articles. Also, when a direct category has been created, the "parent" categories, in this case Category:European Olympic medalist stubs should be removed, as Category:Turkish Olympic medalist stubs‎ will be a subcategory of it. Thanks, SeveroTC 21:46, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have edited some of your edits regarding on the article. You have edited Religion as, Religion and secularism. Secularism is part of the topic of the whole concept of Religion in Turkey. And you have also added many images to the article, Turkey is a featured article and therefore, the article should refrain form having cluttered imagery throughout the article. I have kept the image of the Republic Protests because, I think it is necessary to show it. I hope you understand, thanks! Mohsin 11:24, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of text in Hijab[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Hijab i.e. 'However, majority of women in Turkey...'. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.

I have moved some of the text in the opening after 99% Muslim..., please don't delete important texts which are referenced. Mohsin 13:00, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there thanks for comments. I added the information so it shows a neutral side for both arguments of those who support it, and those who don't. I think I will move that part to somewhere else by the way. I have removed the image of the Virgin Mary Shrine image because, it does not add such significance to the religion section, it is mostly seen as a tourist venue, rather than a place of worship. It is good to have only two images, one showing an image of the main place of worship of the Turkish people (mosque), and one about secularism, which looks fine now to say the least. Adding extra images just ruins the article, and by having just a few images for the point of illustration relating to the text is fine. Plus I think you need to thank Enzuru for that new design of the Islam template, because I didn't create it haha, but thanks anyway if only I did. Mohsin 13:23, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

I see that you use a Turkish name; why you have a Turkish name instead of a Greek name? Just curiousity :D Atakan0652 (talk) 21:35, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
