Great work; I think it's a really good and informative article now, by the way. I hope you found the process helpful. If you'd like to review one of my articles, they're there in the list of Language and literature GANs awaiting a reviewer ... it'd be much appreciated. Thank you for your review! I'll gladly return the favour when I can carve out the time. Ligaturama (talk) 09:40, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for The Waste Land[edit]

On 12 February 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article The Waste Land, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that The Waste Land, considered one of the most important poems of the 20th century, was described as "waste paper" when first published? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/The Waste Land. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, The Waste Land), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Liszt[edit]

Nice job cleaning up Liszt so far. What are your plans for it? Aza24 (talk) 06:33, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I'm working on a section on his relationships with other composers, and I think the biography section needs more work, but after that I think I'll put it forward for GA review to give myself a sense of closure (if I'm not completely burnt out). The FA process seems too intimidating! Ligaturama (talk) 08:37, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, biography could use some citation clean up, but looks good overall. I think the legacy section is the biggest gap; I like your additions to the teaching section, but we need more on influence and reputation. Check out how this is done at Josquin des Prez#Legacy, Claude Debussy#Influence on later composers or Frédéric Chopin#Reception and influence, for some ideas. Obviously these three are FAs, so the Liszt could have a smaller scale for that section, and since each are suited for the specific composer, Liszt's will have to be as well.
GA is a great goal. Let me know when you nominate it there—I would be happy to review it. Aza24 (talk) 02:12, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah you're right, I did kind of swerve the legacy of his compositions, partly because I felt that it belongs more in Musical works of Franz Liszt, and I haven't come across a huge amount written just on that topic. It does look extremely sparse though, I'm sure I can flesh it out. Thanks a lot for the examples and the offer of a GA review, I'll give you a message after I nominate. Liszt GAN[edit]

Hey, I'm happy to help out with the Liszt GAN while you're away (i.e. do the copy & pasting of notes references asked by CurryTime). I can also try and address some of my own comments. Would that be okay? Aza24 (talk) 16:53, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, that would be really great if you could! Your suggestions were all perfectly valid as far as I'm concerned, I have a small comment on one of them that I'll put in a reply to it so that everything relevant is there on the same page. Ligaturama (talk) 17:58, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, I completely forgot about this (was just reminded via my talk page on the GAN page), my apologies. I fear I'm too busy to commit to helping out much, but I'll see if I can squeeze in some effort these coming days. Aza24 (talk) 18:26, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! I won't address your comments during the GA process, because that would make it harder to get across the finish line and clearly both CurryTime and I are also busy. But of course I have no objection if you do it yourself, and/or I'll take another look post-GA when I have some more time. Ligaturama (talk) 18:38, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
