Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Olja Hrustic, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.mediabang.org/name-94326-olja-hrustic.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Olja Hrustic requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.mediabang.org/name-94326-olja-hrustic. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — JJMC89(T·E·C) 06:05, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Olja Hrustic.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Olja Hrustic.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Whpq (talk) 22:49, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Lesko11, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:54, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed material from Olja Hrustic, which remained too close to your source. The issue was not that you failed to cite your sources; the issue is that even with citing your source you cannot copy content to Wikipedia from copyrighted sources, like IMDb. You also cannot base your text too closely on your sources. When content is copyrighted (as most internet sites, magazine articles, newspaper articles and books are), you must put the information you find in them in your own words and structure before adding it to Wikipedia. I realize that you modified the content after the bot contacted you, but I'm afraid you did not modify it enough. We can see this in a comparison:
Source text Article text
After leaving her war torn country in the early Nineties, she moved to Serbia for a few years before settling in New York City. She currently spends most of her time in Los Angeles. After beginning of war in her home-country in the early 1990s, she moved to Belgrade, Serbia for a few years before settling in New York City where she started her professional career as an actress. Currently, she spends most of her time in Los Angeles working mainly on independent movie projects.
To make it easier to see the problem, I have bolded precise duplication, although the words "She currently spends" have been modified to read "Currently, she spends." The words remain the same.
Again, content must be original in both language and structure. The essay Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing may help you avoid such issues in the future, as it explains a bit how content can be constructed without such close following.
If you have any questions, please feel free to stop by my talk page. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:00, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Olja Hrustic[edit]

Hello, regarding the AFD discussion, IMDB is not a Reliable Source for wikipedia because it is open sourced and has errors, you need to find other sources about the actress and show them to the AFD discussion. I will have a look tomorrow as I support the article.Atlantic306 (talk) 23:02, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Wikipedia is among the top 10 most visited sites on the internet, and I appreciate it. For me it would be unthinkable to violate Wikipedia`s policy. Anyway, NatasaGav is a different person and that person did not vote, but just presented the opinion and suggestion. I ask you to read the text once again. If I am not wrong, for voting we can use just words “Keep”, or “Delete”. If we use the same arguments, it does not mean that we are the same person. I am sure that there are thousands of Wikipedia visitors who will say the IMDb is a reliable source. By the way, it is transparent that I voted two times “keep” for the article and Uncle Milty has corrected me. Someone can ask his friends or colleagues to create account on Wikipedia and to vote “Keep. Keep…”, but that`s not the point. I do not lobby for any article on Wikipedia, including this one. I just think that some of Wikipedia users are not always right. Thanks Mike V, this was a good experience. Regards,

Decline reason:

Given the checkuser results, it's obvious that you're not being truthful. OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:12, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
