Freemasonry template[edit]

By blanking out the content of that template, you removed it not only from the Rainbow article, but from every Masonic article that used it. Please take more care with your edits in the future. Thanks!

Also, do not cut-and-paste information directly from other websites, as you did at the Rainbow article: this is a violation of copyright, which is taken very seriously around here.

I'm sorry to have to criticize you right off, but I hope you'll stay around long enough to get the hang of things and become a productive contributor. See you around! --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 18:20, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Editing the Rainbow article[edit]

You'll want to be careful going forward about how you phrase things. If you put wording like "safe, fun, caring environment" without a reference, it's very likely that someone will put a "citation needed" tag on it to be obnoxious, or remove the phrase altogether. If you were to say that "Rainbow aims to provide a safe, fun, caring environment", and cite it to http://gorainbow.org/whatisrainbow/whatisrainbow.taf, it's much less likely to be interfered with. Most of your edits that first time through did indeed improve the article: I'm sorry I did a straight revert. It might be better to go section by section, so that copyedit changes aren't reverted along with content changes.--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 18:56, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

June 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to "Template:Freemasonry2", did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot. Conflict of interest noticeboard[edit]

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to "Template:Freemasonry2", without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Please note that the vandalised template is very much used, if you attempt this 3 more times, you are blocked from 48-72hrs. Gsmgm (talk) 19:30, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked for one hour for blanking the "tl|Freemasonry2" template 3 times, even though I explained to you after the first time why this was a Bad Thing. If you don't understand what you're doing, then ask. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 19:32, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I was about to report you for breaking the WP:Three-revert rule on the IORG page. Read that before continuing, as the next block will be by someone else, and longer.--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 19:34, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Freemasonry and Rainbow[edit]

"Deleted Masonic information as IORG no longer practices or shares in the Freemasonry rules." I really doubt that Supreme Assembly told you that Rainbow is no longer associated with Freemasonry. I would strongly, strongly suggest that you not remove that template from the article once you figure out the proper way to do it.--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 20:04, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
