Message[edit]

Hi thanks for your message. There is also another userbox for Blackpool FC fans which if you add to your home page will add you to the category Wikipedia BFC fans - (Just add two of these - { before and two of these - } after, user Blackpool F.C. ) If that makes no sense then have a look on my home page and copy it from there. ♦Tangerines BFC ♦·Talk 23:44, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Barbara Spooner[edit]

Thanks for adding to the Barbara Spooner article. It is certainly much better than the one-line stub it was. I am still not convinced that Spooner is notable enough for her own article but as there was no consensus for merging with William Wilberforce I have removed the merge tags from both articles. Blackpool Shipwrecks[edit]

Thanks for that lead which you added to my user page. I've moved it to my talk page, and will check it out in the next few days. I'll see if I can find out any more information to corroborate that website, and add it to the article in due course. Mjroots (talk) 17:57, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The link is well referenced so I've added the ship to the article. Will investigate an article on the ship another day. Mjroots (talk) 19:52, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Spencer Timothy Hall[edit]

A tag has been placed on Spencer Timothy Hall requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TheMolecularMan (talk) 18:27, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: images[edit]

I removed them because a) they didn't contain any fair-use rationales, and b) no fair-use rationale would be sufficient for those images. This was explained to you in the messages you've since deleted from your talk page. - Dudesleeper / Talk 14:50, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Dorothy Byrne[edit]

I have nominated Dorothy Byrne, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dorothy Byrne. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Pope[edit]

Thank you for the obituary reference which has been a prompt for me to update the article. Tibshelf was in fact at the time within the Mansfield registration district (and this is one of the reasons for caution in using the Birth registration indices) I am afraid I don't know where or even if he was buried. File copyright problem with File:Vcarson.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Vcarson.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:56, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
