Slimming World[edit]

Hi there LeighGreenwood (can I call you Leigh?), I just got your message about Slimming World. I am pleased to see that you're wanting to go about this the right way - it makes things so much easier! I see you have posted some statistics that you think need updating on the talk page; I am happy to do them, but notice that they are from June - are these the most up-to-date figures, or is there anything more recent? If you have reliable sources for your updates, I don't have a problem with you making the updates yourself, provided you're happy to listen to other editors if they disagree (which, from the tone of your last message, I guess you are). I'll watch this page, so feel free to reply to me here. ItsZippy (talkcontributions) 14:44, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Zippy, yes of course, please call me Leigh. Many thanks for your response about Slimming World, is much appreciated. Certainly I'm more than happy to listen to other editors and feel it's very important to act in the spirit of Wikipedia. I use Wikipedia as a source of information all the time and recognise its value as an objective source of information. I will have a look to see if there are any more up-to-date figures available publicly. Can I ask, if I do make the changes myself, what is best practice to ensure that others can see that I have done this with the best intentions and am open to comments? I would of course reference all changes and could explain the reasons for the changes in the talk pages. If I did this, would it be ok to also drop you a message for you to have a look at the changes too please? Many thanks for your guidance. As I say, I use Wikipedia as a source of information all of the time but I am new to the contributions side of things. Thanks, LeighGreenwood (talk

Hi Leigh, I am so sorry I didn't reply earlier. I was distracted by other things and completely forgot - that was my fault, and I apologise. Anyway, to answer your question, I wouldn't have a problem with you updating the page yourself, provided you are willing to listen to criticism. I would suggest that you make the changes you think are necessary, and then post a short note on the talk page, just explaining what you've done. If anyone disagrees, they might remove it and should begin to discuss it - you should then wait until you've reached a consensus about what should be in the article.
