Some basic editing guidelines[edit]

Hi and welcome to Wikipedia. I thought I would let you know of a few guidelines we follow when we edit articles:

Please use an edit summary when making edits. This is useful for other editors to see at a glance what were the changes you made.
Please use the Preview button (right beside the Save Page button) when making changes, so that you don't have to make numerous minor edits one right after another. This keeps the history smaller and allows other editors to see more easily what changes you made.
If you make minor edits, please check the "Minor Edit" checkbox right above the Save Page button.

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
