Welcome to Wikipedia. But...[edit]

...I've added the "{{prod}}" template to your user page (User:Legoland12342), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy).

Please note that the purpose of a user page is not as personal homepage or used as a general webhosting service, but as way for active editors of Wikipedia to introduce themselves to other editors. If you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues here or on my user talk page. You may remove the deletion notice, and the page will not be deleted for the moment, but note that it may still be sent to Miscellany for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria.

If you wish to contribute directly to Wikipedia and your page has already been deleted, you can ask any admin to undelete and restore it: if necessary, leave me a message and I'll pass on your request. To begin editing, here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Article Rescue Squadron: Welcome[edit]

Glad to see you took up my invitation! Welcome to the squad!

Hi, Legoland12342, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again - Welcome! Ikip (talk) 14:57, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Undine pages[edit]

You've seen the changes that User:Crazy-dancing has been making to these pages:

I am trying to persuade him/her to leave them alone and do a version in userspace, then propose them in the discussion at the Classical Music Project here. I don't know whether you can help to get the idea through to him? Thanks. --Kleinzach 13:50, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And with all due respect, whilst I realise that there is an ongoing discussion about the issue of merging, I have been monitoring the situation for over a year and no progress has been made. My edits are intended as a bold, pro-active move to try and move the discussion away from constant talking and debating, to actually doing something to resolve the situation. There are reasons for all of my edits, I am not simply vandalising, and if people would give me an opportunity to work on my idea instead of pushing their own agenda, we might start getting somewhere. Crazy-dancing (talk) 14:09, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps the only problem with bold, proactive moves is that it results in an edit conflict. I'm all for rational discussion and healthy debate, but it would appear as though there is a lack of that. Crazy-dancing, what do you suggest we do? Legoland12342 (talk) 14:17, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on jahir89 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Jahir89 (talk) 05:52, 10 November 2010 (UTC) Sure i will provide more information about our organization. Thank for your guidance.[reply]

Alright, I saw that someone had already moved the category templates (which allow for other organizations to find the page), which is the first step to saving your article. What you should do next is add new content, but make sure you have sources, either on the Freecodeclub webpage, or some sort of new article that talks about the website itself. Beyond that, you're going to want to link to other articles on Wikipedia, add an infobox, organize it, clean out all of the unnecessary and irrelevant information, and overall, work on making it a superb article. I can help you with all of this stuff, so don't hesitate to leave questions on my talk page! Legoland12342 (talk) 06:11, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
