You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on an article you wrote requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. -- RHaworth 12:21, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I dont anderstand ... your policie says :

"Notable actors and television personalities who have appeared in well-known films or television productions. Notability can be determined by: Multiple features in popular culture publications such as Vogue, GQ, Elle, FHM or national newspapers"

lukas zpira as plyed in the movie "no body is perfect" due this fall. he as been seen in many books, exhibitons and magazines from france, us, japan, australia etc (I can maybe give you the full list ?!)

"A large fan base, fan listing or "cult" following"

-try to google hes name ! *1*

"An independent biography"

-onanisme manu military II as been publish in both english and french lat year ...

"Name recognition"

-again google it .

"Published authors, editors and photographers who received multiple independent reviews of or awards for their work"

-"vampyres" as been published by flammarion in france, and "hidden shadows" by hors editions in us and europe.

"Painters, sculptors, architects, engineers, and other professionals whose work is widely recognized (for better or worse) and who are likely to become a part of the enduring historical record of that field"

this is exactly what we talking about ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lavoice (talkcontribs)

*1* google his name. I really ab-react when people say that. If you are incapable of creating a link to Google search (eg. like this), why should I bother doing it myself? Similarly, if you are incapable of putting any references into the article, how do you expect us to believe he is notable? -- RHaworth 15:41, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

isn't how it s work .. a wiki system . one people put what he know, another come on the top and add some more things etc ... or do we have to be ourself the perfect people with the full knowlage of everithing to have the right to start doing something ?! I put the first stone, why do you trow it away ?! ignorence aparently . so ?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lavoice (talkcontribs) (Again!)

OK mate, you're on! AfD can be the making of an article - just look at this tremendous improvement that happened to Pendelfin cos someone sent it to AfD. Let's see what happens to you. -- RHaworth 16:55, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

is this just a CENSORSHIP ?! the entry I tryed to do is a copiright free (so no probleme about that) , it s the official lukas zpira biographie text . also reading the pilicy of wikipedia, is absolutly no reason to dont accept this entry . so what is really going on ? does really one person (you), decide what other peopple can learn or not throught wikipedia ?! thats a bit fascist isnt it ? this is really how it s work ? wikipedia is supose to be an open source to knowlage, not a a way for some people to control the information ... and why this condecendant attitude ? is it part of the process to be abble to write something in wikipedia ?

so this is trhee links to begin the verification af the information I tryed to put :

the lukas zpira photo web site
his body modification and body art related web site
about is last book (vampyres-flammarion ed.) and first documentary
his editor (onanisme manu military II-hors ed.) web site
the subcultures documentations media agency created with laurent courau

need more ?!

and this is (again) the entry I tryed to make :

"Body artist and modifier, nomadic performer and documentalist of the contemporary fringes, Lukas Zpira is one of the major figures of the contemporary underground. He began his artistic carreer in 1992, he was at the time 26 years old. It was upon the presentation of two charcoal sketches that he was accepted as a member of the collective "ADADA" in Avignon, which consists of about 30 artists of various influences. It was with the help and support of Daniel Romanie, founder and director of the collective that he made his first real artistic experiments : paintings, sculptures, installations, writings and photography. His works, closely related to nouveau realism differed in style as his writing and photgraphy were far more influenced by surrealism and Dadaism, notably Duchamps and Man Ray's rayographs . It was in 1993 that he took on the name Lukas Zpira, an anagram inspired from the surrealists. Multiple experiences and various exhibitions still left him unsatisfied and he felt he had quickly reached the limits of his medium. He left the collective in 1995 to turn towards body art. A first generation mutant, he started using his body as a new medium, transformed and used it as an element of performances, then naturally started to work on others. He soon after opened Body Art/Weird Faktory in Avignon, the first studio in France dedicated to body modification, and immediately got critical respect for his detailed and precise cutting work. In a short period he grew from a talented cutter to offering a full range of body modifications; tongue splitting, implants, subincision, to name just a few. In the spring 2000, inside the high walls of the Palais des Papes, while the aristocracy of the contemporary arts felicitate themselves over the lavish exhibition celebrating the new millenium and having as a theme "beauty", Lukas reunited for several months artists from all over the world to take part in the ART-KOR.OO festival, the first french manifestation devoted to the modified body. This event gave birth to the ART-KOR connexion and the ART-KOR performance team. He then kicks off the Crazy BodMod tour, a planetary journey that will take him to the U.S, Canada and Japan but also to more unexpected lands such as Brazil, Venezuela, Guatemala, Argentina, New Zealand and Australia to name just a few, meanwhile continually pursuing his personal evolution. Encrusted with transdermal implants and bearing facial tattoos, the point of no return has long been surpassed. Indispensable accessory to his approach which is also of philosophical nature, his life style evolved. Following some straight edge precepts and renouncing to all consumption of drugs alcohol and cigarettes, it is during this period that he chose photography to document the underground, its personaes and atypical occurences that cross his path during his travels. A september 11th and a Gulf war later, we find him early 2004 in Japan where he devellops and writes the body hacktivism manifesto, an artistic and political movement that asserverates the corporal bioderversity facing beauty standards imposed by Hollywood and its herd of siliconed blondes. More inspired by the bestiary extra terrestials of Star Trek than the tribal references of the modern primitives of the last decades, this activism of a new genre asserts the heritage of prospective science fiction in its battle against the seizure of the power we have on our bodies. Patenting of human genom by the pharmaceutical industries and new tools for biometric control, all those cyber punk fantasies are now part of everyday life, counter cultures once again must find a new battlefield. Lukas also "created" terms such as : "body hacking", "body hacktivism", "no body is perfect" and "like a butterfly". His quest finally was rewarded in the spring 2005 by the publishing of his book "Onanisme Manu Militari II" at Hors Edition, a compilation of texts and images retracing a decade of experimentation and iconoclast collaborations. Greeted for its high quality, this work includes the participation of David Le Breton, Maxence Grugier, Philippe Liotard, Ryochi Maeda, Edp infected, Gnom, Human Game et Laurent Courau. It leaves no one indifferent. The majority of the readers are enthusiastic but some professionals of the underground are somewhat irritated by its success but whether they like it or not, films ("No Body is Perfect", "Vampyres"), books ("Vampyres", "Hidden Shadows") are available. Lukas as been seen in several television programs such as TLC, discovery channel, national geographic and many more, as well as in numerous books (ModCon book, Scar, Bodmod etc ...)." (based on a text from Laurent Courau, december 2005)

Here is what's wrong[edit]

-- RHaworth 14:23, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

whatever[edit]

I didnt try to "promote" anybody, I just try to give some information. I tought it was wikipedia purpose . I posted a copiright free article , thats it . I tought if somebody wanted to change something , he could do it. like they did on bme, taking my entry as a base (btw, how come, they could read it on bme and not on wikipedia ? *1*). I never imagine that some kind of "elite" (?!come on?!) were going, upon personal opinions, juge it and just decide for a couple of millions people what they can read or not . I guess I was wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lavoice (talkcontribs)

  • *1* simply because you were using the same words on Wikipedia as on bme and the right of Wikipedia to use those words has not been established: it was a simple {{copyvio}} - do you understand? But I would add:
  • Wikipedia likes a much higher standard of writing than your article had and ...
  • I believe that you are Lukas Zpira and therefore the article was automatically self-promotion.
But as you have rightly said, Wikipedia is colaborative, others should appear to deal with the latter two problems. No, the basic problem was the matter of copyright. -- RHaworth 16:16, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

same seed...[edit]

...in two diferent garden . see the same "poor" article after 4 days in bme, and in wikipedia. I guess one of them as been smart enouth to use the informations. whats wrong to be close from lukas zpira to do this entry ? the policy dont say we have to be perfect unknow to write an entry ... perhaps been close from whos involved can help to give the best informations . btw, like I told you before the text is just supose to be a base. and yes, the text is copiright free . but forget about it . anyway, your not the kind of people who can reconise any mystakes. and finaly thats not so important . I thought wikipedia was an online enciclopedia . I see that its just another way for a few to use their power to control the informations . it wont last very long .

Inappropriate articles[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to create inappropriate pages such as Lukas zpira, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Seraphimblade 20:45, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

why inapropriate ?!

It looks like several editors have been through this and through this with you, but there are two main reasons. Firstly, the community decided that the article should be deleted, and that's the consensus. For you to continually and unilaterally attempt to violate this consensus could well be considered disruptive behavior. I would advise that you request an article on this person, rather than once again post it yourself, and at some point someone more neutral might find enough information to write the article. However, when I saw it, it was highly promotional and provided little indication why the subject would be notable per the biographical notability guidelines, and that is a requirement to a subject having an article. Please remember to sign your comments using four tildes: ~~~~, as this makes it easier to keep track of who said what. Thanks! Seraphimblade 21:01, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ok ... not sure i get it corectly but at list I want to request this article :) Lavoice 21:05, 7 January 2007 (UTC)lavoice[reply]

If you'd like to go that route, you can go to WP:RA and follow the instructions there to put in the request. Seraphimblade 21:07, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
