hey

hey laurinavicius my name is generalhannible.I am new so if you could help me with some things I will be eternally grateful.I noticed on your user page that you are roman catholic,I am to! I have been doing minor edits on the 103rd (Lancashire Artillery Volunteers) Regiment Royal Artillery so if you could look at that and tell me how I have done(I did not write the article I just linked some things and corrected some grammar mistakes)

I've checked over the article and it's not bad work, but it still needs some grammatical improvement, mainly due to the fact that the sentences within the article don't flow together; they are just a conglomeration of facts in regards to the history and equipment of the regiment. I'll get to work on the article as soon as I can (tomorrow or the day after) as I am quite busy both in real life and editing other articles. Continue the good work mate.

Hi!

When I registered with Wikipedia, I hoped I would be able to contribute by uploading scans of out-of-copyright maps (these would mostly be regions of the map images on my own web site), and maybe by learning to create custom-drawn maps. I have had a few shots at uploading scans that were requested, but no-one has used them. So I have been reluctant to learn the techniques that would be required to create purpose-drawn maps. I certainly don't qualify as a "talented and experienced mapmaker". If you have advice on learning to use Inkscape or a similar product, I would appreciate it. Cheers, Maproom (talk) 23:49, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

The five maps in my wiki commons gallery were indeed created by myself - they are scans from atlases, and also appear on my web site. However the three very much better maps on my wikipedia user page are not my own work. As for getting the maps on [my] website through commons onto the articles that are in need of maps, I wish I knew how to do that. I would be happy for the commons to have access to any of the material on that site. Best regards, Maproom (talk) 07:59, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

WikiProject Former Countries

Hey, I saw your note on my talk: page about WP:WPFC. I mainly edit articles related to the Holy Roman Empire as and when I have time and am in the mood; I'm prolly not the best person to ask for collaboration, I'm afraid. But any effort you can make to improving, tagging and rating the articles is almost as useful as getting us all organised about it, don't you think? Of course, if you find a handful of people willing to organise, then do lemme know :o) — OwenBlacker (Talk) 02:43, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Fair enough. I'm happy to get involved when I can, but I can't guarantee that'll be often; editing Wikipedia is one of the ways I chill out :o) — OwenBlacker (Talk) 00:14, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Ok, I'll see what I can do about assessment then and I'll keep an eye out for potential members. Pob lwc! :o) — OwenBlacker (Talk) 00:53, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Kievan Rus'

Thank you, Laurinavicius, for solving the difficulty I pointed out on the categories and infobox of Kievan Rus'. The only thing I noticed after your edit, which seemed to me to make the infobox more consistent with the text of the article, was that the article was then in both the categories Category:880s establishments and Category:9th-century establishments. Since the former category is included in the latter category, I removed the article from the latter category.

The template still has the potential difficulty I pointed out, but since there is no page actually affected by this difficulty, at least not in Category:10th-century establishments, it does not need to be solved. Nevertheless, I will add a comment to Template talk:Infobox Former Country as you suggested. Coyets (talk) 09:04, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed your edits on Mo'Nique. I hope you don't mind, but I changed the — to –. I could look up the specific entry in the WP:MOS, but if I recall correctly, an '—' should not have space around it, as it is already a long dash. An –, may have space around it, since it's a shorter dash. Thanks and let me know if you have seen conflicting information. Plastikspork (talk) 22:09, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello.

Hello. It is nice to be told at the very least (AND PREFEREABLY ASKED) when you want to borrow from someones user space. I've noticed that you've copied my adoption program page template, as shown here, and User:Drew R. Smith's welcome page, as shown here. I really don't like the fact that you have stolen both these pages and at the very least I would like you to put the following template onto the pages and say sorry to both of us. Or you could just delete them and make your own.

An edit you performed at the Hamlet article corrupted the display of two illustrations at that featured article by converting by converting hyphens within the filenames into en-dashes.[1] As a result, redlinks appeared in place of those two images until I corrected the display today. Adoption program

Hello Matt, I was adopted a couple of weeks ago but I had my medical school finals so no time at all to work in Wikipedia. I am free now and tried to do the 'basics' task...but it's already done.. I mean the tasks are completed. What am I supposed to do? VinylCerebellum (talk) 15:27, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Good day! First of all, I'm glad to see that you're back on Wikipedia, as we always need more editors. Second, I hope that you did well on your medical school final exams. And third, as User:Gaia Octavia Agrippa explained on your talk page, I am using Gaia's Adoption Program for your Adoption Process. One of Gaia's adoptee's is currently working on the Basics Task, and Gaia will clear out the Basics Task for you as soon as her adoptee has completed it. However, in the meantime I suggest that, in order for you to get a feel of editing on Wikipedia, that we find an article that is mutually interesting, and improve it up to B-Class or GA-Class standards. There is a list of articles on my User Page that I am currently working on or interested in working on that you can choose from, or you can suggest any article that interests you, as I'm willing to work on pretty much anything. If you have any questions or need any help, or want to suggest the article that we should collaborate on, please just drop me a line here. Happy editing, mate!
Hello again! I have looked through the articles you are currently working on. I would be interested to work on the Alexander article as some Ancient Greek History is still stuck in my head and the other article about Byzantium under the Heraclians. What say you? :) I believe the Basics task is cleared now, so I ll get to that tomorrow. VinylCerebellum (talk) 23:05, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Either article is fine with me, but I prefer that we work on Byzantium under the Heraclians as, in my opinion, it only needs some copyediting to bring it up to GA-Class. Meanwhile, I've extensively researched Alexander I, but I have scarcely found any information on him, other than what is already on the article itself, so copyediting for style and grammar is all that we can do. If the Basics Task is open, try and get to work on that as soon as possible. I'll be monitoring your process on it, so if I see that you're having a bit of difficulty on the task, I'll just swoop in and lend you a hand. However, I don't think that you should have much difficulty with this, but if you do, or have a question about the task or anything on Wikipedia, just drop me a line. Happy editing, mate! Laurinavicius (talk) 00:32, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
I think I 've finished the Basics task. Would you like to have a look? VinylCerebellum (talk) 20:48, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
I've checked the task over and you've done it perfectly! CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE BASICS TASK OF YOUR ADOPTION PROGRAM! I'll leave a meassge on Gaia's talk page asking if she could clear out the next task (the Linking Task) as soon as possible so that you can get to work on it within the next few days. In the meantime, you should read the Links page and we'll get started working on Byzantium under the Heraclians. As far as I recall, everything up to the sub-section entitled "Wars with the Arabs" in the section "Constans II" has been copyedited for style, grammar, and accuracy, so only everything down from there needs to be worked on. We should get started on that as soon as possible. Happy editing, mate! Laurinavicius (talk) 22:32, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Links task

Sorry I'm so late getting back to you, I haven't had time to go on wikipedia. The links task doesn't need cleaning out because it merely contains instructions and a place for adoptees to add links to there answers. So your adoptee can use it straight away, using the answer already on the page as a template for how to write his. I hope this explains things. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk | Sign 13:16, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

I see. Thanks for the explanation. Happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 13:45, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

I'm fine, thanks for asking. How are you? I've just re-assessed the article as B-Class. Regarding my reccomendation, I just want to let you know that I personally prefer B-Class articles to have at least 8-10 citations within them, though many have more and I have even seen a few with fewer. I have just granted you rollback rights because I believe you to be trustworthy, and because you have a history of reverting vandalism and have given in the past or are trusted in the future to give appropriate warnings. Please have a read over WP:ROLLBACK and remember that rollback is only for use against obvious vandalism. Please use it that way (it can be taken away by any admin at a moment's notice). You may want to consider adding {{Rollback}} and {{User rollback}} to your userpage. Any questions, please drop me a line. On Antun Sa'ada - second match

Hello. I don't understand why you have cancelled my last contribution in Antun Saadeh page. I agree with your first intervention, but the second time I think you have not read what I have changed. I’ve no ideological or political reasons for my contribution. Please don’t delete my comment from your personal page, as you have done with the latest. I put the same comment in my user page. Bye --Idris.albadufi (talk) 09:17, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi there! Could you please clarify what you mean by "borrowed [your] last contribution" on Antun Saadeh, as that phrase really doesn't make much sense at all. You have performed the same edit three times all with the same result: being reverted. I'm not saying that you have any ideological or political reasons, but what I am saying is that you are deleting some bibliographical with this same edit. While you are adding some and revising others, which is good, you are deleting others, which is why I've reverted your edits each time. If you could revise and add bibliographical sources without removing others, then your edit would be fine and improving the article. My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 23:03, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks Laurinavicius for your answer, but I’m not deleting anything: in my first performance, you have reason, I have cancelled some information that seemed me really not important (it is political and not scientific bibliography). There are books more relevant on the subject. The other two times, I’ve only improved the information (it was incorrect and partial, using different kinds of typeface and omitting one relevant book of Saadeh). Please read my second ant 3th edit: I don’t cancel anything: I’m only “adding some and revising others, which is good”, as you say me. Of course, my English in dreadful, sorry sorry sorry. Bye --Idris.albadufi (talk) 09:02, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
You're right, you're last two edits didn't delete anything, but just re-arranged it, which is what through me off. Anyways, good job with you're work here! Happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 15:17, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

I know you'll think I'm weird, but I think you're brilliant. Keep up the good work. SylvioGreene (talk) 04:46, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks a lot mate! I'm glad that our work here on Wikipedia is appreciated! And, just to let you know for future reference, a Barnstar is generally considered to be the usual award for hard work and due diligence (although a comment on a user's talk page is just as good!). Anyways, happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 19:43, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Absolutely, keep up the good work! SylvioGreene (talk) 22:00, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! By the way, I noticed that article A Haunting (film), an article you created, was prodded for deletion. What do you plan on doing regarding that? My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 22:11, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm working on that. SylvioGreene (talk) 22:19, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
I saw that it's been userified and placed into your sandbox. When I get the chance (which will likely be tomorrow), I'll some work on it so as to make it meet WP:NF and WP:GNG, which it currently does not. My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 23:46, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Thank you so much, that would be great. All the best! SylvioGreene (talk) 23:48, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Please help me

Can you please copy edit 2007 Groundhog Day tornado outbreak? Richard (talk) 00:39, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

I'd be glad to! However, I have other projects that I need to complete (or at least do some major work on) before I'd be able to work on your article. I should have time tomorrow afternoon or evening (I live on the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S., so that's about 19:00 to 2:00 UTC) to work on it. If not, then I'll definitely look at it sometime over the weekend. I've already skimmed the article over, and it doesn't look that bad, especially seeing as it's a Good Article. And by the way, do you plan to have this article assessed for A- or FA-class soon? Although it is a bit shorter than most A or FA articles, I think it should meet those qualifications. My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 01:10, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I just tried to make a page haha, can you help me? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hayden0694 (talkcontribs) 04:00, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi there! I've already seen and edited your new article. Good work with it, especially seeing as it's your first article! Now, what help do you need with it? My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 04:06, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Rly? Thanks! How do I get the rights to pics so i can put the album cover up? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hayden0694 (talkcontribs) 04:21, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Ahh, one of few topics I don't know that much about regarding policy. Well, I'd first check out Help:Files, as that gives the basics on how to upload files through Wikimedia onto Wikipedia and then how to place them in articles on Wikipedia. You're also going to need a Wikimedia account to upload files there, so that's another thing you need to do. Don't worry though, it's not that difficult. However, if you need some help, just let me know. I'm glad to be of assistance. Happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 04:27, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
Thank you! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hayden0694 (talkcontribs) 20:56, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
You're welcome! How'd this go? Laurinavicius (talk) 03:17, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for the welcome!

Thank you for the welcome! It took me a few tries to figure out the tilda thing, but if my signature is here, that means I've got it. :) Exaybachay (talk) 01:24, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

You're very much welcome mate! If you need help in any way with anything, just drop me line. Happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 21:07, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Two things

Good day Jack! How are you? It's been a while, eh? Anyways, I'd like to speak briefly to you about two things. First, how do you feel about Louis XVIII? Do you feel that it is ready for a GA-assessment? I feel that it does meet GA-class standards, but I would like your feelings on the article before it is suggested. Second, would you mind doing a favor? On the WikiProject Former countries Referendums page, I posted a new referendum on possibly creating a C-Class for the project back in March. However, only two editors (including myself) have written opinions regarding it (both of which support the referendum). Would you mind just reading over the referndum and then writing an opinion and voting on it? Thanks a bunch mate! Happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 15:26, 18 October 2009 (UTC) [copied over from User talk:Jack1755]

It most certainly has been a while! What have you been up to? I posted my opinion on the referendum page -- support of course -- and I'd like to do a little more work on Louis XVIII before the GA assessment. While I'm discussing assessments, could you have a look at Cosimo III de' Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany, please? I nominated it yesterday. Have a nice day! -- Jack1755 (talk) 16:16, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your support! Also, I'm thinking of brining up another referendum: one that would bring coordinators to the project in administative capacities. What is your opinion regarding this? Second, I'll do a GA assessment of Cosimo quite soon (within an hour). I'm looking over the article now and I don't see any major issues that would prevent it from failing, so it looks like it'll pass. Good work mate! Laurinavicius (talk) 16:34, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the assessment! I didn't know they were of interest to you. Hm -- To be honest, I know too little about the practice of wiki-project co-ordinators to make a sound judgement! -- Jack1755 (talk) 17:06, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
Any suggestions on how to improve Louis XVIII? -- Jack1755 (talk) 17:21, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
Well, I must admit that seventeenth-century central Italy is not my favorite history topic, but all history interestsme. Anyways, I don't see any major flaws that would prevent Louis XVIII was passing a GAN. You said earlier that you wanted to do a "little more" work on it, what did you have in mind? Also, this is what a coordinator does, as quotes from the Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Academy/Being a coordinator page: "Like some larger projects, the Military history Project has adopted a system whereby multiple coordinators are elected to serve the project. Our coordinators are generally responsible for maintaining all of the procedural and administrative aspects of the project, and serve as the designated points-of-contact for procedural issues. They are not, however, endowed with any special executive powers, nor with any authority over article content or editor conduct.
As is the case with all projects on Wikipedia, our coordinators' main role is performing the maintenance and housekeeping tasks required to keep the project and its internal processes running smoothly. This includes keeping the announcement and open task lists updated, overseeing the assessment and review processes, managing the proposal and creation of task forces, and so forth. There is little that couldn't theoretically be done by any other editor, of course—the coordinators are only explicitly written into a few processes—but, since experience suggests that people tend to assume that someone else is doing whatever needs to be done, the most efficient route has proven to be to delegate formal responsibility for this administrative work to a specified group.
Military history WikiProject coordinators also have several other roles. They serve as the project's designated points of contact, and are explicitly listed as people to whom questions can be directed in a variety of places around the project. In addition, they have highly informal roles in leading the drafting of project guidelines, overseeing the implementation of project decisions on issues like category schemes and template use, and helping to informally resolve disputes and keep discussions from becoming heated and unproductive. The coordinators are not, however, a body for formal dispute resolution; serious disputes should be addressed through the normal dispute resolution process."
That should give you just a bit of an idea. Anyways, happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 22:15, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
Thank you! I get it now. On second thought, I revised Louis XVIII and I'm pretty happy with it -- initially I felt there was too little about his later years. -- Jack1755 (talk) 22:22, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
You're welcome! And what is your opinion on WP Former countries adopting such a coordinator system? Regarding Louis XVIII, I don't think there's any problem with length. Do you want to nominate it? And, this time, I can't assess it, seeing as I've done a sizeable amount of work on it (nothing compared to yours though :D ) Happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 22:30, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
I think Wiki-project former countries could use one, yes! I shall nominate it in a moment -- lol -- that means I'll have nominated three articles today. My second, if your wondering, is Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici. -- Jack1755 (talk) 22:42, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
I know this is a little pre-mature, but here you go: Louis XVIII of France -- Jack1755 (talk) 23:21, 18 October 2009 (UTC) [Removed template as it interfered with page background]
Thank you so much mate! And that's great that you support my proposal! In a relatively small project like WPFC, just a few editors could make a huge difference. Regarding Louis XVIII, I've combed over the article and fixed the few grammatical errors that I've seen, so I feel that it should certainly pass its GAN. Regarding Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici, I've briefly looked at the article and I'm not sure if it'd pass its GAN; some editors would pass it while others would fail it while still others would make suggestions and put it on hold. It's relatively short and does not have that many citations (only 42, which, on the other hand, is just about right for an article of this size), but it does have greater variety than Cosimo II, which passed. Hopefully, it will pass. Anyways, happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 23:31, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
I thought that too, but I looked through precedents and found that the shortest biographical article created a good article was 8,000 bytes. Thank you, Laurivanicius, let's hope she does! I'm off now. See you later! -- Jack McNamee (talk) 23:56, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
My mistake, 9,137, to be exact: GDRT. -- Jack1755 (talk) 00:03, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
You're right. I must say, though, the article does not meet GA standards. Anyways, adios and happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 00:04, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
I've got good news! 1. I expanded Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici from 16,500 bytes to 21,500! 2. A school merit award was conferred upon me today! Hope all is well with you, Laurinavicius. -- Jack1755 (talk) 18:57, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
That's great news! Glad to hear it! Regarding Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici (try saying that five times fast), it's definitely been improved and stands a much higher chance of being passing its GAN. Good luck! Laurinavicius (talk) 20:58, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
I don't get it; what's it supposed to sound like? hehe -- Jack1755 (talk) 16:38, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
P.S. Is there any reason WP:Former countries doesn't have a newsletter? I think it's a nice idea. -- Jack1755 (talk) 16:40, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Haha! It is a good idea, but WPFC isn't really much of an active project project, so there isn't a need right now for one. In the future, sure, but not right now. Happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 20:21, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

Laurinavicius, following in your footsteps right after your last change, I noticed that you replaced "abolished" by "disestablished". I do disagree with you on this change as *disestablish* is not a synonym of *abolish*:

abolish: http://74.125.113.132/search?q=cache:ys0gWXP_CnAJ:www.thefreedictionary.com/abolish+definition+of+abolish&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a
disestablish: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/disestablish

On 21 September 1792, the monarchy in France was abolished, not disestablished.

Regards, Frania W. (talk) 02:28, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

I disagree with you on this and feel that they were synonyms. However, I'll find another synonym for "abolished" so as to replace it the second sentence of that paragraph. Personally, I don't like the usage of the same verb in consecutive sentences, which was my intention by replacing "abolished" with "disestablished" in the first place. My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 20:36, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Laurinavicius: If you read their definition, they are not synonymous and, in September 1792, the monarchy was abolished in France, not disestablished; the whole Ancien Régime way of governing was dismantled. Par contre, at the time of the Bourbon Restoration, you can say that the (royal) monarchy was re-established, yet not exactly in the same way as it had been before.
I understand that you do not like to use the same word close to itself, I feel the same way, but there are times when it is better to use twice the same word in two consecutive sentences than to replace it in the second by a word that is not correct.
I am sure one of us or someone else will come up with the word we are looking for.

Request for copyediting

Hi there. I could use some copyediting on the article Howard the Duck (film). Do you have the time to take a look at it? (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 23:03, 12 October 2009 (UTC))

Sure! I've already looked it over and it doesn't seem to need a whole lot of work. I'll have time to work on it either tomorrow or Wednesday. Happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 23:37, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Actually, I'll get to it tomorrow, seeing as I'm sick and staying home from school. Thus, I'll certainly have the time to get it done. My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 23:25, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
I'm sorry for taking so long to get back to you, but I've just had a lot of other things to work on. The article looks ready to go to me. I noticed that you already nominated it for a GA assessment, so if you need any help getting it passed, I'd be willing to do so. My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 15:24, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Magnus Ducatus Etruriae

I have nominated the Grand Duchy of Tuscany for a GA-review. I think it's finally ready. Thoughts? -- Jack1755 (talk) 20:24, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

I'd say so. I fixed the formatting with the pictures and removed whitespaces, as those were the biggest problems that I noticed. However, I gave the article only a quick scan, so I may have missed something. Happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 21:30, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks! Plus, thanks for your support on C III. -- Jack1755 (talk) 21:32, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
You're welcome mate! Laurinavicius (talk) 23:27, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Cleanup tag

Hi Laurinavicius! Can you exsplain why Klis Fortress article require cleanup? And, if it is a minor problem, can you fix it? Thanks! --Kebeta (talk) 20:23, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi Kebeta! And sure, I can. I was looking at this article yesterday and I noticed that there were numerous grammatical errors, odd word phrasings, re-directs, capitalization, year links, picture locations, etc. that needed fixing. These things aren't relatively major in their own, but, when added up, would be enough to stop or stall any GA attempt in the future. So, I added the clean-up tag and placed the article on my watchlist so as to remind myself to work on it sometime over the course of the next few days. I hope that answers your question. And if you're interested, we could work together to clean up the article, and then possibly submit it to be Peer Reviewed, as I feel that, with some work done on it through a Peer Review, Klis Fortress could be a Good Article. Anyways, happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 20:41, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for a quick response. I agree that there were numerous grammatical errors, odd word phrasings....that's why I put it on a Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors, but that's to slow. I'd be glad to help you to clean up the article. Feel free to ask me any question about the subject. BTW, if you are interested, we could do the same thing with the Walls of Dubrovnik. An article is a bit longer, but I think it has fewer errors than Klis Fortress. Regards. --Kebeta (talk) 21:05, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
You're right, the Guild is way too slow. That's actually where I found Klis Fortress, as I was going through the backlog and trying to get some copy-editing work done there. Anyways, regarding Walls of Dubrovnik, it does have fewer errors than Klis Fortress, and also seems to be a all-around better article. If I have chance tonight, I'll request a Peer Review for it. My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 21:57, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
O.K. --Kebeta (talk) 13:05, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
OK, I saw that you requested a Peer Review for Walls of Dubrovnik. I just added a link from the WP:MILHIST assessment on the article's talk page to the Peer Review page. I'll start to get to work on doing some copy-editing and grammatical revising today, but I'll have a lot more time to work tomorrow and Wednesday, so I should be able to get a lot done. My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 00:39, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
I also left a message on WP:MILHIST's talk page. Regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 00:45, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. BTW, I have addressed some problems on Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Peer review/Walls of Dubrovnik. --Kebeta (talk) 20:16, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Just to let you know - I cited all stats, and now I will try to find more better sources, if I can. Regards. --Kebeta (talk) 22:35, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
That's good to know. I also noticed that you removed those unencyclopedic sources, like Croatia Gay, another plus. I hope to be done with the copyediting within several days, by Thursday or Friday at the latest. As soon as I'm done, we should probably nominate it for GA status. Laurinavicius (talk) 23:38, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
If there is something more, you think I should fix within the article, please notify me. Regards. --Kebeta (talk) 18:23, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
As far as I have seen, the only problem, other than copyediting, which is nearly done, are the large spaces that appear twice in the article, after section titles. These spaces are a result of formatting problems with the pictures. Once these are fixed and the copyediting is complete, then we should have it assessed for GA-class. Laurinavicius (talk) 14:29, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I've noticed. On normal screen it looks pretty cool, but on wider screen it's a problem. The problem occurred when I deployed all the pictures on the right. The good thing is, more pictures fit within the article, and the article is more readable. But, we should definitely fix that somehow. --Kebeta (talk) 14:54, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
How odd, they appear to be gone now. Do you still see them? My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 14:57, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Can't really tell if there is a problem, since I have normal screen right now, so it looks good to me. Maybe your copyediting fixed it. --Kebeta (talk) 15:06, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Hopefully it's been fixed, as I don't see it either. Anyways, that's one less thing to be worried about. My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 15:10, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Will you be over with copyediting soon? It is not much left, I think? --Kebeta (talk) 14:20, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
I'm sorry for taking so long with it mate. It's about 70-80 percent done. I should have it done tonight, but, if not, then it certainly will be done by tomorrow evening. Happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 21:00, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Done! The article looks ready to go to me! Laurinavicius (talk) 23:08, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks Laurinavicius! Should we nominate the article for GA? --Kebeta (talk) 12:33, 22 October 2009 (UTC) It is nominated. --Kebeta (talk) 17:17, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
Definitely! Happy editing! Laurinavicius (talk) 20:40, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Hey mate! When did you nominate the article for GA, as I can't seem to find it on the list of GAN's? My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 19:05, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Hi Laurinavicius! Sorry, I was busy last week. Well, I nominated it under Art and architecture. If I made some mistakes along the way, please correct me. Thanks. --Kebeta (talk) 19:15, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Everything looks good! You're welcome mate. Hope it passes! Laurinavicius (talk) 19:21, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
