Hi again. My first impression is that your changes are sound. But since it's a lot of new stuff, i would encourage copying your additions to the discussion page of the article were you want to add it. This is the usual procedure in WP, since it allows other experts and people interested in the subject (they will be 'watching' the article) to check your changes before publication. Help request

Subject: Reference List. Problem: I inserted some paragraphs(including references in the main Landscape page.The modified List of References is OK except that in the bottom appears a block with 8 references repeated from the above list. I tried to delete them but, when I go to editing mode, the repeated references are not visible in the editing page. I cannot think of a way of getting rid of them and hence I am requesting help. Hello! {{reflist}} will automatically pick up anything with <ref></ref> tags enclosing it. That way, you don't have to put the references at the end of the article; if they're already inline, the reflist template will put them in the appropriate section by itself. Many thanks m.o.p.! The page looks OK now. A question though: I didn't use a reflist template to introduce new Refs. but I did it manually. Could it be that there was a Ref. template in place before I arrived? If so how can I check if there was one?Landscapnik (talk) 19:10, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

Had a look through the history - it looks like another user added it back in 2008.

As for how you can tell - either look for the {{reflist}} text (usually near the bottom of the article) or, at the very bottom of the page, under "Pages transcluded in this page:". If the reflist template is being used on that page, it will show up in that section. m.o.p 19:17, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your prompt attention. I see no signs of a {{reflist}} or of "Pages transcluded in this page:". What I do find in Editing Mode is a long list of translations of the landscape term into various languages; this list does not appear on the main page. If you could spare the time, could you have a look at the Landscape Page in editing mode? I intend to go on modifying that page and I'd like to avoid future troubles on editing.Landscapnik (talk) 20:04, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

Just above the translation links, you should see the reflist template. It'll be enclosed in squiggly brackets. In "Pages transcluded in this page", it's listed as "Template:Reflist". m.o.p 21:01, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello, Lotje. The username ending nikmay be loosely translated as "a person who..." It is Slavic and later Yiddish. Words like nudnik and beatnikhave made their way into colloquial English. Landscapnik may have interesting connections with landship or landskip. I'd say, better be a landscapnik than a nogoodnik.
