That discussion on my talk page has now been archived - however, I've started a draft at Draft:David Mitchell (computer scientist) and would welcome your comments and suggestions here Happy New Year! -- samtar whisper 16:01, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Would welcome advice on doing it right[edit]

Wikipedia has evolved so much that I haven't been able to keep up with all the capabilities and methodologies.

I am not interested in self promotion but with five young children and serious efforts on climate change mitigation, I feel it appropriate that there be some basic information about me on Wikipedia.

Guidance appreciated because I would like to do this in the way that's most appropriate within the spirit of Wikipedia's emphasis on knowledge and not hype

Thank you and all best wishes, David Lagunastarman (talk) 23:02, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I had to delete your draft, as the prose you used has already been published at a different website. Regardless of the copyright issue, you should not be writing your own Wikipedia article. For help getting started editing Wikipedia, Help:Contents is a good place to start. — Diannaa (talk) 15:56, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
