Help history[edit]

i would like to know if this is possible. Take a page that acts as a disambiguation, rename it so disambiguation is in the title. Than have another article redirect to the original disambiguation page. I want to make sure that this will not create any problems. Thank you Kyros 19:19, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

You can rename a page using the guidelines found at Wikipedia:How to rename (move) a page, eg: by moving it from "Foo" to "Foo (disambiguation)". Generally speaking though, unless a term is used predominantly to mean one topic, the disambig page should be left as is and any additional articles should be simply linked off the disambiguation page as "Foo (film)" or "Foo (US politician)", etc. Per Wikipedia:Naming conventions. Hope that helps. -Dawson 19:37, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

Please use the tildes[edit]

Hey Kyros, to help in communication, please use the 4 tildes when addressing talk pages. I will try to look into your request now as well. Kukini 22:28, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that you cannot do a redirect on that acronymn since it is used for other things as well. It appears that all you can do is have it on the disambiguation page as it is. Best, Kukini 22:32, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Explaining...it is generally considered a form of vandalism to blank talk pages on wikipedia, unless you are blanking unisigned edits or vandalism. This allows for users and administrators to readily review the history of your work here. This can come in handy if you decide at some point to consider becoming an administator in wikipedia. Kukini 22:38, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On disambiguation[edit]

It is best, I believe to keep pages as "Disambiguation" pages when there are more than one meaning to a word, term, or acronymn. Create the redirect to that disambig page where readers can select the version of the term they intended. Peace, Kukini 22:44, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey...I could be wrong. But then again, we are merely a community that decides things together. You are doing great, my friend. Keep up the good work!!! Kukini 22:50, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! to learn how to do this, visit WP:R. Briefly, at the top of each of, How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild, and Got a Life write:
#REDIRECT [[Kaavya Viswanathan]]
(making sure you use caps for the "REDIRECT"). This should do the trick. Let me know if you need further assistance. Rockpocket (talk) 04:10, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Help[edit]

I'm trying to moved Saved (disambiguation) to Saved. What should I do? Kyros 03:06, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Because it might be a controversial move, you should look at the procedure at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Technically, it requires an admin to do the move; because a page needs to be deleted, and the "move" button won't work for a normal user in this case.--Commander Keane 03:21, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE: ECW (WWE)[edit]

lol. Someone actually beat me to the punch by a minute with the main article part that was under Revival on the other ECW page. Now to move over some of the external links :P --JFred 20:32, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the page was set up by bringing info over from the original ECW page as well as the ECW on Sci-Fi page, so it definately needs a clean up. --JFred 22:28, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

help me[edit]

On the Extreme Championship Wrestling (WWE) page there is link *World Wrestling Entertainment roster . How would I have that link automatically redirect to the ECW brand on that page. Thank you Kyros 22:08, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just add a link to the page, followed by #Section name like this: World_Wrestling_Entertainment_roster#ECW_Brand. Bjelleklang - talk 22:15, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mass Transit incident (ECW)[edit]

I saw that your nomination wasn't displaying at afd and attempted to fix it but hasn't helped. I'm not sure what's wrong. Sorry.--Fuhghettaboutit 00:02, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For some reason my AFD is not working on the Articles For Deletion page, what do I have to do.

Also, how do I archive discussions on my talk page. Thanks Kyros 01:54, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well you can either start User talk:Kyros/Archive1 simply by cutting and pasting - so that you can archive bit by bit on your discretion. Or you can click "move" and move it to User talk:Kyros/Archive1, which moves the history as well, but you can't move bit by bit. As for the Afd, what is the name?Blnguyen | rant-line 02:07, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Full House[edit]

Hi. You moved Full House to Full House (TV Series) and redirected the page Full House to Full House (disambiguation). You see, if a disambiguation page ends in "(disambiguation)" then, there is no reason to change the original article. Just put a note at the top saying "For other meanings please see X (disambiguation)". I will have an admin revert the move, but next time please be careful. And don't worry, everyone makes mistakes :) . GeorgeMoney (talk) 03:41, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yess, but Full House the show would be the one most people would be looking for. also, you didn't say anything on the talkpage or propose a merge. GeorgeMoney (talk) 04:42, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I guess you could have

If you were looking for Full House in poker see X'

For other meanings, see Y (disambig)

I need help on the Lou Albano page. I'm trying to get the last box, Championship succession to stretch across the screen when the browser is maximized. What do I have to do? Thanks. Kyros 02:51, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

edited, hope that suits your needs. PS: it's better if you don't remove content from your talk page or we'll be easily lost ;) -- lucasbfr talk 03:12, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Responding to your request. I am thinking that one way that MUCH improved article could be improved even more, would be if you would consider providing more sources throughout. For example, "During the 1990s, Albano became a vegetarian and shed 150 lbs. following a health scare. He later suffered a heart attack, but quickly recovered in 2006" are two sentences that could use some form of reference for verification. You might want to look at this article as an example of how to do the referencing: [1] Great work thusfar!!! Kukini 02:12, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

help me[edit]

I need help with creating a template. I trying to create an infobox for wrestling stables. What do I have to do to save this and a permanent template. Also I want to have the text that states Statistics underneath the image caption, like this on this page The Highlanders (professional wrestling)

{{Infobox Stables |Name = |Img = |Img_capt = |Current_members = |Past_members = |Debuted = |Promotions = |Disbanded = }}

Thank you Kyros 02:34, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You could try asking at Wikipedia:Requested templates. --Fang Aili talk 03:19, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Help:Templates is a good place to learn about templates. You can also see how a template is written by editing its page, Template:Infobox Wrestler for the template you mentionned for instance. Equendil Talk 03:26, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mass Transit incident[edit]

I can't see any problem with that, seeing as the article is based mostly on Kulas. Since we have the controversial Khali/Ong situation over at Brian Ong's page, I'm fine with you moving this article to Erich Kulas. --Oakster (Talk) 13:26, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hillman College Reunion info disappeared[edit]

I see that the ADW Characters article was created, which is great, but the Hillman College Reunion material that several people had gotten into really good shape is neither in the original article nor in the new one. Do you happen to know where in the history it disappears? I'd like to add it into the characters article as you originally discussed at Talk:A Different World. Lawikitejana 09:20, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Go to the section where someone said I butchered the page. You'll find it there. Kyros 03:25, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll go check on it; I thought that might be the spot, but it was hard to sort out the changes in the characters section from the removal of the Reunion section. Lawikitejana 05:28, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry about it. It's a very common spelling error for his name. I wouldn't have known if not for the last 2 years, seeing him wrestle East TN indy shows probably 5 times a month! STFmaryville 07:26, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
