Ice Hockey European Cups[edit]

Congratulations! I really like your big effort on the ice hockey european cups! Thanks a lot! Wild8oar (talk) 07:07, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Copa Ganadores de Copa[edit]

I fully understand the reasons of your reverts of my previous edition, and your reverts are welcomed. But in fact, although some of the sentences were directly copied from RSSSF.com, there was still a significant amount of passages written by me. So I think it may not be the best way to deal with this problem simply by reverting all my edits.

Anyway, I've re-written all the content and I think in no ways it can be regarded as "copy and paste" any more. Maybe you can go and take a look and any further improvement on the article would be highly appreciated. Thanks! Salt (talk) 13:23, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the wrong redirect, please don't blank it, please nominate it with {{rfd}} and follow the instruction. Good luck. Carlossuarez46 (talk) 05:13, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you've updated this article, but I think you made a mistake. Dunaújvárosi AC and Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák is not the same team. The Dunaújvárosi AC was closed down in 2006. The Acélbikák is a different club. Although some of the former players of the AC plays in the Acélbikák, but the Acélbikák has no legal connection with the so called "former clubs". Even Dunaújvárosi AC and Dunaferr were different clubs. The Dunaújvárosi AC was the club of the local government, and the Dunaferr was the club of the local metal foundry. If you have any questions, I will help you. I think you should undo your changes.
--Murdoc69 (talk) 20:02, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

According to the official website of the Acélbikák, the first hockey team in Dunaújváros was the Dunaújvárosi Kohász (Dunaújváros Metallurgy) founded in 1974. This team was sponsored by the local metalworks. They played their first match in the first division (OB I bajnokság) in 1985. In the early '90s they changed their name to Dunaferr, because the metalworks changed it's name to Dunaferr (new owner of the company). In 2004 the Dunaferr Ltd. had financial problems, so it couldn't sponsor the team anymore. Therefore the hockey team lost it's main sponsor, and couldn't pay the player's salary. The best players of the team (like Viktor Tokaji, etc.) started to play in the Alba Volán Székesfehérvár, and the rest of the players started to play in the Dunaújvárosi AC. The Dunaújvárosi AC was a totally different team, sponsored by the local government. Unfortunately the Dunaújvárosi AC also had financial problems and the club was closed down in 2006. In 2006 the Dunaújvárosi Acélbikák was founded but it has no legal connection with the so called "former clubs". Although most of the players of the Dunaújvárosi AC started to play in this team. The Acélbikák has a silver medal (2007) and a bronze medal (2009).

Ice hockey[edit]

Very good work on the Euopean ice hockey articles. I was wondering, since the 2009–10 Champions Hockey League has been cancelled should we just move the page to 2010-11, when the next one is planned, but mention in the article how the 2009-10 competition was cacelled? It seems pointless to have an article on a season that never happened. - Yorkshirian (talk) 08:01, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
