Welcome![edit]

Hello, Kunoichi.au, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! You can also just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Dougweller (talk) 13:40, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

your edits[edit]

HI - don't misunderstand me, you are doing some nice work on the web, but if you read WP:VERIFY and WP:RS you will see that we really need sources from recognised Egyptologists for Egyptology articles. It's obviously true that there are many uses of sources that don't match our criteria, but we've discussed these at Wikiproject Egyptology (including TourEgypt in particular) and are trying to replace them. Perhaps you could help with that instead of adding what seems to be articles by you? That would be really great if you could. Let me know if you have any questions by clicking on my sig. Companies[edit]

You need to read WP:ORG and make sure your articles complies with it. I haven't checked so this isn't a suggestion that it won't, just making sure you know about our notability criteria. Dougweller (talk) 14:00, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Quick Review of your draft article[edit]

Hi, Kunoichi. Yes, Wikipedia grew and changed in the last ten years. Rules were added and polished to ensure the quality of our encyclopedia.

I looked at your draft article about The JDR Group of Companies. To improve it so that the article can become part of Wikipedia, establish the group's notability both general notability and group or company notability by citing reliable sources that are independent of the group. The sources listed now are mostly primary sources published by or under the influence of the group of companies. You need to find third party sources that cover the JDR Group in-depth.

The style and tone of the article are promotional rather than encyclopedic. For example, the statement, "The group is a valued contributor to..." would be criticized as meaningless promotional puff. An encyclopedic statement would state, "In 2010, the group contributed $xx,000 cash and a computer system valued at $yy,000 to the university..." and cite a reliable source of that information.

Concerning your citations, all are now bare URSs that are subject to Link rot. If you watch the six and a half minute video in Referencing for beginners, it will show you how to use the reference tool to easily and consistently create proper citations.

Hope this helps a bit. Take care, DocTree (ʞlɐʇ·cont) Join WER 11:50, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
