Hello, Kt3486,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether List of physical therapy assistant schools in the United States should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of physical therapy assistant schools in the United States .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Dear Kt3486, The reason I listed it for deletion, after reviewing it, was because it is not a encyclopedic article, it is a directory listing, and as such it is not what is fit for WP, and falls under the WP:NOTDIR policy. The article is a clear directly listing, has no encyclopedic knowledge and is akin to a yellow pages listing. The article would be better hosted outside of WP, but not here. I hope that is explanation enough. I know it is your first, and it is hard to see it get deleted. My first article was deleted within minutes of me finishing it, which is immensely disheartening. I sincerely hope that is sufficient explanation. Lastly, it is worth signing your articles with four Tilde, 'scope_creep (talk) 16:53, 15 June 2017 (UTC)'. This is translated into your name and date by WP automatically, once the article is saved. scope_creep (talk) 16:53, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kt3486, It is principally the list of urls associated with a name of the site, and the lack of any salient knowledge. This is a destination, not a place to offer assistance to people who are looking for web address for a specific school. We are not a web based directory listing. There is many lists of WP, and almost all of them are encyclopedic in nature, of some type or another. We are not a host, not a location for random information. To save it, take out the urls, remove the degree names, link to the appropriate sites for each school, list per WP:MOS standards. And as it stands it also fails WP:NOTADVERTISINGscope_creep (talk) 17:51, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
