You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ISPmanager, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:00, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I have nominated this article for speedy deletion under criteria G11, "Unambiguous advertising". The article does nothing to assert the importance of the subject with significant coverage from reliable sources independent of the subject. This is also the fifth time the article has been deleted either for being unambiguous promotion, or for failing to assert notability as established through a consensus discussion. Speedy deletion nomination of ISPmanager[edit]

Hello Ksenyaphil,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged ISPmanager for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is significant enough to be included in an encyclopedia, and the artist doesn't have an article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Trivialist (talk) 07:39, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Response to your note[edit]

Hi, thank you for your note at my talk page, where you seem confused as to why the article ISPmanager keeps getting deleted. According to the Deletion Log, the article was twice nominated for deletion via the Articles for Deletion process, which is slow--it typically lasts 7 days. During this time, the contributor can explain why the subject is notable, and improve the article so that the objections are addressed. This doesn't seem to have been done, and both times the overwhelming response was to delete the article because it appeared to be spam or promotional in nature: [1][2]. In Jan 2014, I nominated it for speedy deletion under G11 criteria, for being unambiguous advertisement.

In your message at my talk page, you wrote, "Our goal is to give information about product's features that can be interesting for our potential and existing clients." Your admitted goal is to promote and advertise the product. That is exactly the reason why the article keeps getting deleted. "And we also want more clients to know about our product and we believe that Wikipedia is a great tool for that" Again, you reiterate your promotional ambitions. Wikipedia is not a web hosting site. It does not exist to host promotional content or to inform your current and potential clients of all the great stuff you have to offer. That is what a corporate website is for. A Wikipedia article should be a general overview of the company. When was it created? Who owns it? What is the company known for producing? Has the company been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources?

So what can you do?

  • Firstly, you shouldn't be writing the article, since you have a clear conflict of interest. Someone unrelated to you, who isn't paid by the company, should be writing it.
  • The editor must be sure to properly communicate in the article how the company is notable. Wikipedia's criteria for corporate notability is detailed at WP:CORP, the first aspect of which is that a company is considered notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. (Press releases do not count.)
  • Whomever creates the article should use the Articles for Creation process, which is slower than creating a live article, but allows the writer to interact with a Wikipedia reviewer and to receive feedback, which the editor will presumably use to bring the article up to Wikipedia's standards. This process also helps to reduce the likelihood that the article will be deleted.
  • The editor should avoid any sort of flowery or promotional language. Words like "robust", "quality", "best", "gorgeous", should all be cut, as should unquantifiable phrases like "some say", "many believe", "it is widely understood".
  • Reliable sources must be used to support the facts in the article. Editors cannot base an entire article on the corporate website as corporations have an inherent interest in inflating numbers and making themselves sound better. You can base some uncontroversial facts (who is the CEO? When was the company founded?) on the primary source, but other facts must come from secondary sources and to a lesser extent, tertiary sources. The editor should avoid press releases, advertisements, paid interviews, biographies reprinted in trade magazines, etc., as other editors are likely to consider these sources as insufficient.

Hope that helps. Please make sure to read WP:CORP as well as the other blue links in my note. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:09, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
