Hello[edit]

Hello Kotzker, I see that you made some vary nice modofications to the Skvere article and added some valuable information. Please contanct me to discus some of your changes as it needs to be revised, no one knows better then a Skverrer himslef. You seem to know alot and have a much better grip on the english language them I do. Together we can make this a very nice article.

Yours truly, A Skverer Chusid --Chusid 16:31, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Chusid, I'm glad to see a Skverer chusid here. I responded to some of your points on the Skver section. Please be aware that I'm not trying to just negate the things your'e saying. I think your input and knowledge of the subject is great. I just think the article should adhere more to Wiki standards.

BTW, are you a BP-Skverer or an NS-Skverer?

Jew vs Jews[edit]

Wikipedia style is that opening paragraph reflects the name of the article. -- Cecropia 23:01, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's a Move request for this page to Jews. See WP:Requested moves. --Kotzker 23:09, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shalom. It seems you've missed the entire discussion and saw only a couple of newcomers who added their posts at the top of the Talk page. ←Humus sapiens ну? 23:18, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You're right. See my comments on Talk:Jew. --Kotzker 00:20, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi:

In looking back over the discussion at Talk:Jew I noticed that you had previously written about using the plural form "Jews" (or "Jewish people") for the article title. Someone recently added a poll on a possible name change. Please take a look. I'm in support of the move for the sake of consistency with other "group" names, and have attempted to provide examples from the List of ethnic groups; some have come out strongly against it. Perhaps you have a different take that would be appropriate, and might like to comment. Thanks! —LeflymanTalk 19:16, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi There! Can you translate my name in what language you know please, and then post it Here. I would be very grateful if you do (if you know another language apart from English and the ones on my userpage please feel free to post it on) P.S. all th translations are in alpahbetical order so when you add one please put it in alpahbetical order according to the language. Chilul Hashem[edit]

A klullah on whoever keeps re publishing the controversies section of the New Square article —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.237.28.125 (talkcontribs) .

This is Wikipedia, not "Der Yid". Your edits were blatant vandalism. If you have a problem with the article please discuss it on the talk page. --Kotzker 17:48, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A klullah on the writer of this comment. --Daniel575 | (talk) 18:27, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You added some things about Skverrer minhagim on the talk page there and said you'd incorporate them into the article later. That was 7 months ago. Just a reminder. Would be nice if you could incorporate those things; I had never heard of them, these things definitely need a place in the article. (Until User:Meshulam shows up and deletes it, wildly screaming that it is OR, Original Research. If you want to see what I mean, see HaEdah HaCharedis.) --Daniel575 | (talk) 18:27, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Family Tree! what a beautiful thing. However, I think it rather belongs on the Chernobyl page and have it as a related link. Also, why did you put it at the top of the page?--Chusid 18:04, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This family tree is specific to Skver, showing it only in context to parallel descendants. I do plan to create one for Chernobyl as a whole (as an upgrade from the טשערנאבילער גזע outline I did in Yiddish), but that's a huge and complicated task. I took my cue from the Bobov page, which is why I put it on top. --Kotzker 20:37, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So what do you think of placing the Family Tree after Important Literature before External links? I think its fits in there better vs. at the beginning of the article, whats your opinion?--Chusid 23:32, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kotzker[edit]

I didn't know that there were any Kotzker Chassidim that were goyim. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.237.24.48 (talkcontribs) .

And I didn't know I could ever feel so determined to have someone blocked from Wikipedia for a very long time. It is YOU who is the chillul hashem here. Grow up, instead of acting like a baby. --Daniel575 | (talk) 23:53, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please evaluate the changes I made there last night. What do you think? Some feedback would be nice. --217.132.130.193 08:58, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Larry Kunofsky, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Please respond[edit]

Hi Kotzker: It would be very helpful if you would take a look at Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2007-04-29 Mezhbizh (Hasidic dynasty)#Summary Conclusions / Understanding and see what you think of the "understanding". Thanks so much and have a good Yom Tov. IZAK 10:22, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would, but since I'm not a party to the dispute I'm waiting for Klezmer to comment first. Not sure if his silence is equal to acquiesence... or he's just busy getting ready for Yom Tov, or something... --Kotzker 16:29, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requests for mediation/Mezhbizh (Hasidic dynasty)[edit]

A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee that lists you as a party. The Mediation Committee requires that all parties listed in a mediation must be notified of the mediation. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Mezhbizh (Hasidic dynasty), and indicate whether you agree or refuse to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible. IZAK 16:57, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for May 1[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Gemara, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Semitic. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Izraelita requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://yivoencyclopedia.org/article.aspx/Izraelita. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. An article you recently created, Machzikei Hadas (organization), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption.
