Jeffrey Pine photos[edit]

Now that you've been officially welcomed, let's talk about your Jeffrey Pine photos. They are nice, indeed. I didn't delete your photos, but instead included them in the Commons gallery Commons:Pinus jeffreyi, where several other Jeffrey Pine photos reside.

In general, galleries in WP articles are discouraged, see the policy at WP:Image use policy#Photo galleries. What generally happens is that a photographer adds his/her photos to an article, and then more people add their own photos, and pretty soon you have a large gallery that is not that useful for readers. Instead, we select an appropriate number of photos in an article, and leave the rest on Commons, which the article links to (at the bottom, in External Links).
