Blanking of talk pages to remove warnings[edit]

just for your information WP:USER#Removal_of_warnings says that it's OK to remove warnings from one's own talk page, and in fact that doing so implies the user has in fact seen those warnings (so can be used against them if they continue to vandalise).  — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 16:16, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please can you show me the policy that says that? Thanks — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 16:23, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Then I will repeat the written guideline (which has more weight than an unwritten rule you have) here: Policy does not prohibit users from removing comments from their own talk pages, although archiving is preferred. The removal of a warning is taken as evidence that the warning has been read by the user. Deleted warnings can still be found in the page history. If you disagree with this, you should get consensus on Wikipedia talk:User page, rather than simply ignoring the generally accepted guideline. — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 16:29, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Found Glory[edit]

You have no right to Block Me, my edits are in keeping with WikiGuidlines as the article New Found Glory was not sourced and was stupidly long, so i shortened it and kept what infomation could be referenced to, if a peice of infomation has no reference then the policy is that it can be deleted. Oh i thought that was weird, thats ok, can i revert the page back to my edits, some areas i was still trying to finish when you un-did my work. (LemonLemonLemons 19:03, 15 September 2007 (UTC))[reply]
Thanks man, i have done that to someone before ha!I would say you could help with the New Found Glory page, but i think i have finished. Cheers. Jack. (LemonLemonLemons 19:10, 15 September 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Fall Out Boy[edit]

"They suck" isn't a valid reason to remove them from the timeline. After all, I hate Morrissey, think Love and Rockets are subpar, and can't stand The Strokes. But they all belong. WesleyDodds 06:16, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I checked Allmusic.com which I'm pretty sure labeled them as alt-rock, but it turns out they don't so I'll have to agree with you. However, keep in mind that descisions about a band's genre (or anything else on Wikipedia, for that matter), should be based on reliable sources rather than our own opinion. By the way alternative rock is rather broad; the whole point of Britpop was to be accessable to a broad audience, and gothic rock really doesn't cross over with other strands of alt-rock.
