Orphaned non-free media (Image:Jake LaMotta in dressing room.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jake LaMotta in dressing room.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:05, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Fife[edit]

Sounds okay. Why not propose it at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals to generate more discussion and support etc, and also leave a note at Wikipedia:WikiProject Scotland and Wikipedia:Scottish Wikipedians' notice board. Simply south (talk) 17:15, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Instead of starting a separate discussion on every Fife-related talk page, it would be much better to add a note, with a link to the central discussion at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Proposals#Wikiproject_WikiProject_Fife. Otherwise you will never get a consensus, as support will be too spread out across the different pages. Ive updated a couple accordingly (see Talk:Ravenscraig Castle). Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source/license for Image:Ferm Burn in Pittencrieff Park.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ferm Burn in Pittencrieff Park.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 01:32, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fife Task Force[edit]

You keep recreating this in the articlespace. I keep moving it for you to Wikipedia:Fife Task Force. Please can you stop recreating it and start editing the moved version instead? Thanks! ➨ ЯEDVERS a sweet and tender hooligan 10:35, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved it again. You will now find it at Wikipedia:WikiProject Scotland/Fife task force, as task forces should be sub-pages of the relevant project, in this case WP Scotland. I've also tidied the page to look like a proper task force page (I think you got thrown by the template stuff, which happens to me too sometimes!), although you'll need to add more detail on what the aims of the project are, to-do lists, etc. I edited the {{WPScotland Navigation}} template, so the task force shows up on the main Project page. Finally, I made a userbox, at Wikipedia:WikiProject Scotland/Outreach/User Fife task force, which you can add to your userpage :o) You might want to announce on the Project talk page that the Fife task force is now up and running, to generate a bit of interest. Good luck with the task force! Regards, Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 14:01, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note. I've looked again at the areas I checked out before, and you seem to have dealt with most of my concerns, though I notice a few awkwardnesses still there, e.g. (later 4mi/6.4km), and "the king though". I glanced at the rest of the article which looks pretty good, but the lead seems shorter than ever, and there's no lead image. Surely one of the images could be promoted - unless you have other plans? Brianboulton (talk) 22:56, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, The current rating of class=B, (importance= mid or high) is about right. If you are looking for GA, then it will need to go through the WP:GAN process.Pyrotec (talk) 17:17, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - thanks for your kudos about my work on the Dundee page (haven't edited it for a couple of years tho!). I didn't add the Kirkcaldy/linseed oil info, so I don't have any sources for that. Adambisset (talk) 09:48, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bronze Reel[edit]

On behalf of a grateful project, congrats!

It is my honor, as the Lead Coordinator of WikiProject Films, to confer upon you the WikiProject Service Award, Third Class - the Bronze Reel. Awarded for your work on Raging Bull, a Wikipedia 0.7 article, which you brought from Start to B-class. Most gratefully, Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 03:42, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
