Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, The law of sustainability. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Sustainability. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Sustainability - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Hi,

I am a bit confused about wiki. please bear with me as i may take a while to get to know how to use this.

With reference to the deletion of the pages. I have no objection to the theory and/or law of sustainability being added to the page on sustainability!

I created a new page because personally i find it odd that there were not any pages on theory or law of sustainability. It's a very important subject. I have studied sustainable systems for some time now. I thought it about time I start the thread as there are other biologists, ecologists, engineers and systems thinkers that I'm sure would be interested in these theories - and add to them accordingly.

Kieran; with reference to your comment on my talk page relating to Sustainability: firstly, could I ask you, when you post on a talk page, to post at the bottom and not at the top? These messages come in sequence, and keeping them displayed in sequence is the norm. You are free to practice on your own talk page to get the hang of it.

As to the substance of your comment, the point is that the information contained in your article - indeed, both your articles - is already fully detailed in the article already present in wikipedia. We do not retain articles which duplicate existing articles. May I suggest that, to avoid wasting your time, when you wish to create a new article you first do a search to make certain that it really is new? There is no title "law of sustainability" or "theory of sustainability" on the sustainability page. The page is very descriptive about the human and living cycles merging (paul hawken), - but it never says out right the statements that I added under the "law of" and "theory of" page.[reply]

that's why i added it under a new page. I'll add the content to the sustainability page, which is now very good reading! and very long.
