Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Roven Records requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. — InsertCleverPhraseHere 23:12, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Roven Records[edit]

Hello KhalilRodgers,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Roven Records for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

A tag has been placed on Roven Records requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Hello KhalilRodgers. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, such as the edit you made to Roven Records. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a black hat practice.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:KhalilRodgers. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=KhalilRodgers|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. —C.Fred (talk) 02:54, 9 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Roven Records, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

KhalilRodgers (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I don't know why I am blocked, this is the first and only article I will ever be making, so I do not see how I am a promoting/advertising only account! How is the article I created only for promotional purposes? It is informing readers on a record label, what should I have included? If it is a Wikipedia page for Roven Records I am going to talk about Roven Records. It is not that serious that the article was deleted but I do not see why I was blocked?

Decline reason:

Heaping praise like "devoted to the craft of recording and producing great performing artists" and "works with the brightest talent in the world" are not information. They are advertising. The use of "we" in the article also makes its intent in that direction rather clear, especially re-creating it after deletion twice. Please see WP:CORP and WP:COI for further information. - Vianello (Talk) 02:27, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

{{unblock| ok 1. the reason it was deleted the first two times was because there was no content on the page, and it was marked as uninformative (because the page was obviously not done being edited), so I do not see how the deletions have to do with this right now. The article was posted again because it was deleted for having no content, so when the content was finalized I uploaded it again . I still do not see how me posting one article warrants me getting blocked. I do understand what you are saying now, because the article is subjective based and not objective. This article was not meant for advertising purposes though, it was literally only being created to inform people about Roven Records. Thank you for providing me with a specific reason of why the article was blocked, because I did not understand before, it is my first article and probably only article that I will ever create. I am confused as to what I am supposed to do now, I am blocked because my first article had something wrong with it? I obviously did not know that what I posted violated these rules or I would not have posted it. So now I want to ask what would I need to do to get unblocked? Who would I need to email/speak to? I do not see how I am a threat, and require the need to be blocked, I honestly just want to create this article the correct way, and be done with Wikipedia. Please let me know any other general problems that were wrong with the article, so if I can't edit it, I can at least give the work it to someone else for them to create the page correctly.
