Your first edits[edit]

Good job leaving a note on my talk page ([1]). I see you did leave a proper signature (Wikipedia:Signature), that's great. Also, good job adding yourself to your group ([2]). Keep up the good job, and try making more edits on Wikipedia to get a feel for it! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 23:20, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good job adding the entries for the other groups ([3]), taking initiative and doing such things is a great wiki (and not only) skill to have! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 02:02, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Good job! I think an extra point for high activity is deserved as well :) --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 16:30, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent job so far; I've awarded you an extra 1.5 credit points for being one of the most active Wikipedia editors in our class! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 01:41, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your citation here looks good! You may want to consider using cite templates in the future. Consider using this gadget (optional, but useful). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 03:45, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removing content[edit]

Hmmm. Why do you think this information needs to be shortened? While I am not saying that you are wrong, you may find that this could be controversial to some; people usually prefer to see content being added than removed. You may want to focus on adding content rather than removing it. See also: WP:SPOILER, WP:PLOT, Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(writing_about_fiction)#Plot_summaries (and check the two links there). You may want to wait with more rewritings/deletions till you've assimilated the information there (and if you want to continue that then, go ahead - one somebody challenges you, you'll now have some hard rules to fall back on :) ). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 04:39, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your citation[edit]

You almost got it. I moved the cite book where it was supposed to be: [4]. Let me know if you have any questions (you created it fine, but you did not put it between the ref tags). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 05:18, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good edits, also with the new articles. You may want to add more blue links (WP:BTW); otherwise it looks quite professional. You may want to expanded them beyond stub for easier DYKs (see WP:DYK for all you could ever want to know about this part of Wikipedia). I'll post a comment on how close your article is to DYK on the talk page of the article in a few minutes, it seems a little short, but not by much (if you could get your teammates to chip in within <5 days, you should be able to do it). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 02:27, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good job starting the new articles. As long as they are stubs, you want the talk page template to assess them as such, so |class=stub, not start (good job adding those templates, btw). ATM split can be start, but sole is still stub (the code for sociology stub is {{socio-stub}}, btw). You'll also want to have those articles categorized. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 02:41, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

October 2011[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Third-Party custody with this edit, did not appear to be constructive, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Deadly∀ssassin 03:24, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I moved the Third-Party custody to Third-party custody, but I guess you continued working on the old for for a while, my apologies for the confusion. You cannot delete the pages (neither can I), only the administrators can. You can request it to be deleted, see Wikipedia:SPEEDY#Redirects (in fact, I'll do it for you). Please note I moved Alternating Custody to Alternating custody, and note that case is important on Wikipedia. Articles should not use capital letters when not necessary (Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Capital letters), and wrong capitalization will result in broken (red) links (Also, avoid self-redirects). On a parting note, red links are good (WP:RED), assuming their targets really don't exist (if they do, consider creating a WP:REDIRECT). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 03:46, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure of the intent or the history, but I saw a page blanking and reverted it. If my warning isn't appropriate, I'm happy to strike it. --Deadly∀ssassin 03:59, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think you are referring to the Third-party custody page? If so basically I had an issue where I had made 2 pages (Third-Party custody and Third-party custody). I was attempting to delete Third-Party custody since it was simply an error on my part. Sorry I caused so much trouble over it. --Kgw2 (talk) 04:02, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • No problem, these things happen, especially when you're new or unfamiliar with how Wikipedia works. Do you need help (with redirects or marking the wrongly capitalised page for deletion) or have you got it under control? --Deadly∀ssassin 04:07, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Compare, Karl: Bird's nest custody, Birds' nest custody... :) --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 04:10, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Np, Wikipedia is simply much less forgiving of such errors than other foras we are usually used to. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 04:15, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: DYK and other issues[edit]

1) WP:MOSBOLD (and see the section on "How not to apply emphasis"). Long story short: no bold beyond the lead. 2) Yes, I agree bundling is not necessary. 3) K. 4) I'll nominate it for you know, would hate for you t lose a DYK chance because of a few hour delay. Merger should not be of any importance. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 01:52, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I created Template:Did you know nominations/Joint custody, I left the hook for you. See Wikipedia:Did you know/Hook. Once this is done, add it to the day Oct 17 section at Template talk:Did you know. Let me know if you have any questions. I hope you'll enjoy writing the hook. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 02:11, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
One link to parent is enough. Good otherwise :) --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 04:05, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This has been fixed, no worries, but for the future, consider what went wrong: [5], [6]. Also, the hook has been reviewed. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 15:24, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
WP:OVERLINKING - too much of the good stuff, I am afraid ([7]). Usually, only blue linking the first usage of a given word per section, if not for an article, is enough. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 17:54, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Probably fine for DYK without too much global scope. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 06:21, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Joint Custody Article[edit]

Posted my comments at its talk page. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 17:32, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Per the question at my talk page. If you use multiple pages from one source, it would be preferred if the cites were broken up into individual pages or 1-3 page ranges instead of citing a 10-20 page range. Here are a few examples: Springbok (horse) and Skin cancer in horses (sorry for the equine-centric examples, what I do besides DYK). Froggerlaura (talk) 15:30, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your help![edit]

Hi, just wanted to thank you for your help with the "family honor" article. --Esery (talk) 15:06, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I recommend doing a citation bundle, rather than spacing throughout the sentence. Do that, or separate the content into multiple sentences and then give each the appropriate citation. This page will tell you how to do bundling. I can help if you need it. --AstroCog (talk) 13:49, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Original Barnstar
Congratulations on getting your group article's to GA, and for your help to other students. In my book, this merits the "real" Wikipedia award - the original barnstar. Enjoy! Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 23:58, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not vandalism[edit]

This is not vandalism, so please learn what vandalism is. What he did was comply with WP:OVERLINK.PumpkinSky talk 01:14, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK, and by the way, new talk page posts go at the bottom, not the top, of the page. PumpkinSky talk 01:33, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
