File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Maxpaynebox.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. Distruptive edits is not a good enough reason. Before you delete or revert an article please discuss your issues because i really do not know why you removed it at the first place. A Portuguese language article was recently written and i think your revert actions was very delibarate. Next time please discuss any changes in the talk page or in the lapu-lapu talk page, that way wikipedians and unknown contributers know whats going on. Alright! If you feel that the revert was uncalled-for, simply revert it back. No problem at all. I will review the edits re Portuguese and see if it merits inclusion. Wikipedia Philippine Chapter to debut at the Philippine Youth Congress

I am glad to announce to you that we will be debuting as an organization at the Philippine Youth Congress in Information Technology on September 14 to 17, 2010 at the University of the Philippines, Diliman.

Jojit will be Wikimedia Philippines resource speaker at the second day of the conference at the UP Film Center. He will be speaking about Wikipedia and how it revolutionizes the World Wide Web. That will be at 9:00 to 10:00 am.

We will also set up a booth at the UP Bahay ng Alumni and we will showcase our existing and future projects.

Help watching a page for fringe theory edits

Hi! Since you're interested in Philippine history and culture articles, could I ask for your help specifically on the Rajah Lakan Dula article (Which I'm convinced should be renamed Lakan Dula, but that's a fight for a different day) and its talk page Talk:Rajah Lakan Dula? Anons have been pushing a fringe theory there, and have not hesitated to personally attack me for disagreeing. I think you're online more often than I am and able to watch over those pages more often than I am. I'm not asking for major work there (although more hands would be welcome hehe), just for folks to guard against the unwarranted addition of uncited facts, the removal of cited facts, the use of unreliable (oral family history) sources, and vandalism.? Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175

Dear Kguirnela,

Greetings!

As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.

Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.

Hello I moved the pic of your "ginataan" elsewhere. That is actually not ginataan (which is a method of cooking, not a specific dish), but the Visayan dish binignit. Is it called "ginataan" in Ilonggo perhaps? -- OBSIDIAN†SOUL 23:29, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

That's how we Ilonggos call that dish in Hiligaynon; actually ginat-an is the term used. At the time I contributed that image, the Ginataan article described a specific dish making use of coconut milk. In the course of its evolution, it has been modified to refer to a method of cooking with coconut milk and that image is a legacy of the former version. I saw that this article I created was tagged for deletion. I see that its because there is some question as whether the article was for self promotion I believe? Because of the photo being of my own work? The photo of the individual was released to me by the individual of the Article. I reached out to her for a picture because I figured that was the best option. She said I could use that photo and released all rights to it. Is that the right way to do it? The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
