Alan Wilson details[edit]

I removed your work at Alan Wilson (musician) because none of it was supported by WP:Reliable sources.

  • You added a self-published book to 'Further reading'.
  • You added John Lee Hooker and Skip James to associated acts. The guideline for associated acts may be seen at Template:Infobox musical artist#associated_acts where it sets a high bar to inclusion. Hooker did not record with Wilson specifically, he recorded with Canned Heat. Wilson was said by Dick Waterman to have backed Skip James but there's no record of an extended connection.
  • You added two paragraphs of guitar and equipment details, but none of it was referenced to a reliable published source.
  • You added a John Fahey album that doesn't credit Wilson.
  • You added a Christmas music album released in 2007, more than three decades after he died. Binksternet (talk) 05:27, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
What difference does it make if the book is self published? Its listed as a source on several portions of the article.
If you actually look up the Christmas album, it is a compilation from various Canned Heat line ups over the years. Wilson is credited on tracks 2,3, and 9.
Yeah and thanks so much for removing all the other edits I have done so far. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kellykma71 (talkcontribs)
I'm not trying to hassle you, I'm just trying to keep the article in line with Wikipedia's rules.
The Davis book is already listed in the reference section, so it is not needed again in 'Further reading'.
I removed all the Canned Heat albums from the discography, leaving a link for the reader to go to the Canned Heat discography where they are all listed.
If someone has written about Wilson's equipment, especially about how he obtained his guitar tone, then that writer can be summarized in a paragraph about equipment. Binksternet (talk) 06:15, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You gave me zero seconds to add the source info for equipment, before deleting it. Oh and I noticed you deleted literally all of my other edits so far. Thanks.
