Welcome![edit]

Hello, Kateat2C2P, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hello, and thanks a lot for reaching out! Really appreciate the additional information , and have also just read the notes/reasons for declining my recent submission. I'll take note of this and work on improving the article draft before resubmitting.
I also just wanted to confirm / ask a couple of things:
  • Is it alright if I move the declined Draft submission back to my userspace? Or better to create a new User Sandbox page entirely?
  • I'm a team member at 2C2P and the sole user of this account. Is it alright to keep my username, or is it better to request one that doesn't mention my affiliation at all?
  • Once I've got the revised article draft ready, can I just reach out to you directly to request proofreading help? Is there also a space/page where I can ask editors for proofreading help?
I've indicated COI / paid COI on my user profile, though please lmk as well if I've written or formatted those disclosures incorrectly.
Again, thanks a lot for the guidance! Kateat2C2P (talk) 10:02, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Your draft can remain where it is, there is no need to move it back. You are free to work on it where it is. You need only leave the prior requests present at the top. You have correctly disclosed(though you don't need both the COI and the paid, you can just leave the paid notice). Your username is in compliance with policy. If you don't want your real name or your business name in your username, you may request a change at Special:GlobalRenameRequest but, again, your username complies with policy as it is now.
You may request help at the Teahouse, Help Desk, or the AFC Help Desk.
I would note that your draft is not likely to be accepted unless there are significant changes to it. You have a misconception common to company representatives who attempt to create articles about their companies(which we discourage, though submitting a draft is the proper way to do so regardless). Wikipedia is not a place to tell about the existence of a company and its activities. A Wikipedia article must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the company, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company. "Significant coverage" goes beyond brief mentions of the company, and cannot include press releases, staff interviews, announcements of routine business activities like the raising of capital, or other primary sources- significant coverage goes into detail about the significance or influence of the company as the source sees it(not as the company itself sees it). 331dot (talk) 10:37, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
