I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. In addition to my note about WP:EDITSUM, I wanted to let you know that I've left a note at WP:COIN#User:Kappa96 and his "client", LaShawn Pettus Brown. When we become aware that a Wikipedia user has a personal vested interest in an article here, it's suggested that we bring that to the community's attention, esp. in reference to the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline. As that guideline states, as long as you are adhering to Wikipedia's policies and interests, everything should be fine. Feel free to comment there regardless.  Doulos Christos ♥ talk  11:37, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have the power to block anyone. You may want to try WP:ANI or WP:RFPP.  Doulos Christos ♥ talk  02:44, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Again, A bit of Help[edit]

{{helpme}} There is a vandal that is CONSTANTLY vandalizing our cients page, Shawn Pettus Brown. How can we block this vandal from making changes? Could you help protect this page for us for a period of time? Thank you. Kappa96 (talk) 02:27, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Note that the helpme template is supposed to be placed on your own talk page, not someone else's. Have a good day. - Jameson L. Tai talkguestbookcontribs 03:12, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Requesting some assistance[edit]

Hello, thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. As you have been informed above, editors with conflicts of interest with the subject they're editing are strongly encouraged to edit the article as little as possible, and instead to use the article discussion page to propose potential edits and resolve conflicts. I must therefore discourage you from making edits like this, where you wholesale reverted the changes that I had made. I was bringing the article into greater compliance with Wikipedia guidelines on style and order, and would appreciate it if you would not revert this in the future. In regards to User:Datruth100, I agree that he appears to be a single-purpose account intended to disparage Pettus-Brown's article, and have therefore issued an indefinite block. Please contact me if you require further assistance. GlassCobra 17:54, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
