You are edit-warring at Annie Murphy in order to add edits that run afoul of various Wikipedia guidelines, including Manual of Style. Per the protocol at WP:BRD, once you were reverted the first time, you are to take your concerns to the article talk page and try to reach consensus with fellow editors. I see you are continuing to edit-war, by unilaterally removed an expand-section tag and re-adding wordiness to a passage. You've had two reverts, and are at the cusp of violating WP:3RR, which will lead to an automatic block. On a smaller note, it is protocol to leave edit summaries describing your edits.

Please can you explain why the ‘expand section’ is required? I will not attempt to remove but I‘ve expanded to the and there is more often than not much smaller sections on articles. The expand section is there because, as you can see from numerous other actor articles on Wikipedia, there is generally more background detail where necessary, illuminating / explanatory quotes from the subject, etc.

Yes, you were edit-warring. When you revert again once your edits have been reverted, that is the definition of edit-warring.

And I'm assuming your ran across an "edit conflict" screen, but you made an edit that reintroduced WP:MOS errors and removed archive links. That is not constructive and in fact is aggressive. When you see "edit conflict," copy your edits to a text file on your computer, leave the edit screen, and then go back to the article's fresh edit screen.

You made eight edits in 2010, and no more until May 2020. And I note you made edits that were evidently so egregious that admins on July 9 had to wipe historical access to those edits. --Tenebrae (talk) 23:07, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am not an admin and cannot block you. If problematic edits continue, I can report them to an admin. That is a last step and certainly not one I or any responsible editor would take lightly. I mean to request to block or whatever the steps are you need to take/think you need to. I feel there is no need to be so hostile. As you have said, I have few edits, and am not experienced in citing. I have stated that I have not intentionally misused Wikipedia. Thank you. Was not aware the source for David Ferrer were not allowed/reliable. Previously when I have cited an unreliable source, there has been a notification telling me so - therefore I haven’t used it. Does that not happen for all unreliable sources? That's exactly so — good eye. I spend a lot of time on Wikipedia removing uncited personal-life claims.

I understand the issue of inexperience; that's why I offered to help, and I'm being genuine. Let me suggest WP:BLP, which stresses that we cannot make uncited personal-life claims. WP:UGC gives guidance on not using wikia or other user-generated sources such as IMDb. And WP:SPS gives guidance on non-journalistic self-published sources, such as ethnicelebs or thefamouspeople.

And while I've already thanked you, I want to compliment you on your Annie Murphy marriage cites — that's exactly right, and I imagine it took a lot of research going back over Instagram posts.
