Re: Loner[edit]

Hi, James. I can appreciate that you want to use Wikipedia as an instructional tool, but the content in question in Loner (novel) was removed because it provided no third-party sources and was based on original research, which is discouraged. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that must remain neutral, and is not for injecting personal analysis of books or other media. As for promotion, that was assumed based on your edit history, which could raise the red flag of conflict of interest to other editors who don't know better, thus giving the impression that you're promoting the book or author, which does not appear to be the case here. Your students are greatly encouraged to create individual accounts if they wish to contribute to Wikipedia. Lastly, in regards to my edits to the article, I added a reception section to establish subject notability, but I kind of left it hanging, which was my fault, and I'll go back and add in more out-of-universe content. (My editing background is irrelevant, as I've worked on numerous non-VG articles.) sixtynine • whaddya want? • 04:18, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
