Farrell Heyworth[edit]

Dear Jpmorganuk, thank you for coming to Wikipedia, but I'm afraid your creation of the above article is in direct violation of a couple different policies here. First, you may not copy and paste information from other web sites, as you did from this site. Second, please see What Wikipedia is NOT. Wikipedia is not for advertising, which the above article clearly is. Also, please note that all articles must be about notable people/businesses/etc., with reliable sources cited. See WP:Verifiability and WP:Reliable sources. Thank you, and I hope that assists you in understanding Wikipedia better so you can contribute effectively! ArielGold 09:22, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Farrell Heyworth, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Alasdair 09:19, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why[edit]

Hi Sunder King,

I have seen many pages on Wikipedia that are no different to the one I am trying to add. Can you please let me know what specifically is wrong with the page and what I need to do to get it right.

The example I would cite is Countrywide plc

Reply[edit]

Dear Jpmorganuk, the problem with the page (pages, the page you list above has been deleted per the exact same criteria) was not only the initial copyright infringement, but a basic breach of Wikipedia's policies, a number of them. I have already given you the links for you to go read and learn the policies, so I'm a bit unclear as to your confusion on the issue, but I will give you the links once more. Please review them, and you should fully understand why your page, and the page you cited above, have both been removed.

After reading those policies and guidelines, as well as the last link which is very helpful, I'm sure you'll understand why the article was deleted. Thanks! ArielGold 20:11, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
