Hello Jowinvp. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Pattamukkil Family".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Pattamukkil Family}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 21:30, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Pattamukkil family requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. A tag has been placed on Kulangara Paulo Hormis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.federalbank.co.in/-/our-founder-about-us. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Vennikulam moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Vennikulam, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. Blatant copy of content and references from Iype Thoma Kathanar[edit]

Thank you for creating the article Geevarghese Yakoob Kathanar. However, I note that this article was created through a blatant copy of content and references from existing article on Iype Thoma Kathanar without providing any proper supporting references to the subject of this new article, Geevarghese Yakoob Kathanar, who is altogether a different Kathanar. COPYWITHIN is allowed in WP, but not in this manner.

Therefore, I deleted all sources copied from Iype Thoma Kathanar, that do not support the subject of this new article. Please do not take offence of this edit, rather this is necessary to maintain the high encyclopaedic standards of WP. Instead, please add valid sources, but only those that support the subject and content of this article.

If any irrelevant copied content, particularly the content which is applicable only to Iype Thoma Kathanar and not relevant to the life and works of Geevarghese Yakoob Kathanar, is not removed or supported with valid sources, they shall be purged in later edits. Thank you for understanding! Sahrudayan (talk) 04:27, 27 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Concerns on general notability, citations and past speedy deletion history of Geevarghese Yakoob Kathanar[edit]

The article Geevarghese Yakoob Kathanar] currently does not have any supporting sources or citations. I also noticed a previous history of Speedy Deletion under a different name Rev.Geevarghese Yakoob Kathanar Pattamukkil on 20:20, 4 February 2017 by User:Gogo Dodo. I am not convinced whether the article in current form can meet the general notability guidelines of Wikipedia. So, I request you to strengthen the article further with independent sources, otherwise it may get deleted again. Sahrudayan (talk) 04:07, 28 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have blanked and requested speedy deletion (G7) of the page Geevarghese Yakoob Kathanar for a second time, as well as his family page Pattamukkil family, both authored by you. I had put some good effort to clean up both articles, so a bit sad to see that both article are gone by now. If I could have predicted this would be your intention (instead of strengthening the articles with independent sources), I may not have spent effort to clean them up. From the history of edits made (including IP address edits), I suppose you are related to both the subject and the family. I encourage you to contribute articles to Wikipedia, but ensure notability of subject by providing strong, independent, verifiable sources. It can save everyone's effort and time. Thank you! Sahrudayan (talk) 15:46, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry to say but I thought I must comment here that I have seen you make similar actions in Malayalam Wikipedia as well in spite of multiple notices, to the effect that the ML-WP admins had to enforce a ban on your edits since 21-May-2017. This could have been easily avoided if you had taken care to understand and follow the WP community rules and guidelines. Sahrudayan (talk) 16:12, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Jowinvp, sorry for the delay, I just noticed your response here only now. I think there is a misunderstanding.
  • I do respect your contributions to WP and conditionally agree that the content you added to WP may be "true and genuine to your knowledge". In this case, I request you to understand that WP is not a place to record "personal" knowledge that is known "only to you" or described in sources that are "available only to you". A blog or personal website could be a better medium for such content.
    1. First of all, WP is an encyclopedia and therefore anything that stays on WP must be verifiable "independently" (other than its author and its primary source) and written in a style that fits an encyclopedia; this means, every fact or each line that you write in WP must be supported through an "independent and reliable source" (in any language) that ANY editor is able to access and verify - so you need to choose your reference sources properly. Generic book names may not help, unless if you can clearly point each fact/sentence to particular pages of the book or article (best if you can provide a web url to the book) that other editors can access. Blindly copying content from other WP articles will also not help.
    2. Secondly, every subject that you write in WP must meet the notability guidelines. In the two articles of yours that I have reviewed, I have only removed the content that is unsupported by any sources; if you think you have valid sources to support any of these, you just need to add them back with the corresponding correct inline references (e.g. mark which line refers to which page of a book).
    3. Thirdly, WP is a voluntary and community activity; each editor spends personal time to review or improve the articles; since most good articles emerge only through debate/discussion, it is important to preserve open discussion topics for other editors to refer, that's why we have some guidelines to discourage users from disruptive activity including deleting discussions or blanking talk pages. From the edit history, I understand that you faced similar warnings/punitive actions from Malayalam WP also for similar activity.
    4. Lastly, I have nothing against you, your religion or the subjects of your articles, and I do not have any desire to prevent you from future edits if you can contribute to WP in a responsible manner. I hope you will be back soon, but contribute responsibly as per our guidelines.
  • I will inform my opinion to the concerned admin and I hope you take this situation in the correct sense. Sahrudayan (talk) 13:32, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
