File:Brazilian Football Confederation logo.svg

Hi Jonteemil. Since you're the user who uploaded File:Brazilian Football Confederation logo.svg, I thought you should know about User talk:Explicit/Archive 48#File:Brazil National Football Team (no stars).svg. (My apologies for not notifying you about this sooner.) File:Brazil National Football Team (no stars).svg was kept by Commons per c:COM:Deletion requests/File:Brazil National Football Team (no stars).svg and it's essentially the same badge logo without the stars. Since it's unlikely that the five stars for the men's badge logo are going to be enough to push the logo up over the threshold of originality for both the US and Brazil, the file you uploaded locally as non-free is also probably OK for Commons. You can ask at c:COM:VPC or c:User talk:IronGargoyle to make sure, but it should be OK. You can either (1) convert the licensing of the non-free file you uploaded to {{PD-logo}}, replace the non-free use rationale with {{Information}} and then tag file with {{Copy to Wikimedia Commons}}; or (2) upload a higher resolution file to Commons and then replace the non-free one with it wherever the non-free is being used. The local non-free file will then become orphaned and end up speedily deleted in a few days per WP:F5. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:09, 13 July 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know and updating the license, and sorry for not replying sooner. I saw your message and read it but forgot about it then. Jonteemil (talk) 18:43, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
No worries. If you decide to upload a better version to Commons, just tag the local for for speedy deletion per WP:F8, if applicable. If the logo changes again and becomes more complex, then things might change with respect to Commons and the new version once again need to be uploaded as non-free, but the current file shouldn't be deleted. BTW, if you do upload a new file to Commons, you probably should add a link to the DR for the women's logo to the file's description just for reference.-- Marchjuly (talk) 22:00, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
File has been transfered to Commons and hence file page as well as the file has been copied so no changes are needed. Jonteemil (talk) 22:11, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
