Orphaned fair use image (Image:Dnangel manga03.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dnangel manga03.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. This is an automated message from BJBot 16:32, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think that picture can safely be deleted. It became "orphaned" when I used a more suitable image in its place, and there has been time for anyone to revert back it had they felt so inclined.Jojas 14:46, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Get Backers Character Articles[edit]

If there were other articles on Wikipedia with such lengthy trivia I would have done the same. That so called "trivia" appears to be nothing but cruft that can be incorporated into the characters' data. That is all. Peace ~I'm anonymous

The 'trivia' sections in the GetBackers character articles generally aren't particularly long. Some of the points could be deleted or incorporated into main article but some don't seem to fit into any other sections particularly in the case of popular culture articles. Although many 'triva' (and I dislike that description) sections are too long I cannot concur with recommendation that they are per se bad or unnecessary. Again, I don't find putting the trivia template into the article to be particularly helpful, a comment on the articles talk page might be more effective. Jojas 00:42, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I saw on your userpage that you are a fan of D•N•Angel, correct? Perhaps you can tell me which characters can fly so that I may add them to Category:Anime and manga characters who can fly? ~I'm anonymous
I think the only D.N.Angel characters which can fly are Dark (with Wizz/With transformed into wings) and Krad. However, I've not read/seen all of itJojas 00:42, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:EerieQueerieVol1.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:EerieQueerieVol1.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Image copyright problem with File:Gb eyecatch makubeX.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Gb eyecatch makubeX.jpg.

A tag has been placed on File:GB Akabane eyecatch.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image which is not under a free license or in the public domain and it has not been used in any article for more than seven days.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited List of In Our Time programmes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Worrall (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
