Welcome[edit]

Hello, Johnzodrow, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been reverted for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of deletion, you might like to draft your article before submission, then get me or any other editor to proofread it. To start creating a draft article, just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit that page as you would any other. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that if more than one person is using this account to edit, then unfortunately it will be blocked from editing.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! DanielRigal (talk) 00:16, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your article[edit]

I have "userfied" the article to User:Johnzodrow/John Rester Zodrow where you can work on it. As it was deleted after a deletion discussion at WP:Articles for deletion/John Rester Zodrow it cannot be restored directly; you need permission from user Crisco 1492 (talk), the administrator who closed the discussion. You will have to convince Crisco that you have overcome the reasons for deletion; s/he may agree to re-list the article for a new debate, or may decline, in which case you may appeal at WP:Deletion review.

I must warn you that Wikipedia's admission criteria are quite demanding: check out WP:CREATIVE. The sort of references required are explained in WP:Notability (summary) - those that show other people discussing you or your work.

Also, writing about oneself on Wikipedia is strongly discouraged and is often unwise, for reasons explained at WP:Autobiography. (The article history shows that it was submitted in 2009 by this account). Unlike sites like LinkedIn or Myspace, if an article about you is accepted you will not be able to control its content, and it is not unknown for people to encounter Wikipedia's law of unintended consequences.

Formatting your article[edit]

Dear John:

I was looking at the latest version of your article, and it seems as though you have copied information from the formatted version of the article and then pasted it into the edit window, messing up the formatting badly. Do you want some help putting it back the way it was, so that you can work on it more easily? —Anne Delong (talk) 02:26, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Johnzodrow. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "John Rester Zodrow".

If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.
