Hello, Jmc881. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions! I'm Drm310, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

Ask an experienced editor to "adopt" you

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page, and someone will try to help.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles

  Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Manual of style and citation templates[edit]

Hi. You might have noticed that I made some additions to you draft about the Remai Modern. These were more for formatting than anything else. Wikipedia has a manual of style that shows how article content should be formatted. The whole thing in its entirety is pretty intimidating, so there is also a simplified version for new editors which you might find helpful.

The other thing I did was augment your references with citation templates. Not only do these provide additional information about the source used, but it allows automated scripts (called "bots") to periodically scan through the article and check for broken links. If links get broken - and inevitably they do - the citation templates can help the bots look for archived versions that can be used as replacements. --Drm310 (talk) 19:55, 24 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Rendering of Remai Modern Art Gallery of Saskatchewan.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Rendering of Remai Modern Art Gallery of Saskatchewan.jpg, which you've attributed to KPMB Architects. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 23:57, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Diannaa: Thanks for the notice about this file. Could you suggest an alternate image of the not-yet-finished Remai Modern Art Gallery of Saskatchewan? I can't find any public domain images. Jmc881 (talk) 15:57, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I checked on Flickr and there's nothing there. You can either go there yourself and take a photo, or ask the copyright holder of the exisiting image to release it to Wikipedia under license. There's instructions at WP:Consent. -- Diannaa (talk) 18:39, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Diannaa: I've taken one myself that I will upload. The file that's there now can be deleted. Jmc881 (talk) 17:44, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
