William John Hale[edit]

Hello James, thanks for your message regarding William John Hale. It seems that Hale was quite a private person and there is very little information about him in the public domain. Most of the information for the Wikipedia article came from a Sheffield Undergraduate dissertation by N.D. Wilson which was eventually published in 1998 in the "Chapel Society Miscellany 1". It does not give a reason as to why Hale called his house "Tainby" but it does say that he died at the house. I managed to get a copy of the book from abebooks.com but there are very few copies around as far as I can see. This Link also gives a bit of information on the building. If you need any further help please contact me. Best regards Mick Knapton (talk) 15:50, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's great Mick, thanks. Would there be any way of you sending me a copy of the article as I am very eager to read it. My email address is spikeyandred@hotmail.com

Many thanks!
