Would you contact me regarding my edits please[edit]

I am still pretty new as a creator rather than a nitpicker. My challenge is to find articles that are considered "good" so I may use them as design preferences for pages I am re-working. My current strategy, is to source un sourced. then when the page starts to look like doo doo, I will re-write. But I would like to have some examples of what is considered good, start notable etc. and I am a bit overwhelmed by the whole system. I want to do a good job, and feel I am capable. thank you in advance. --K3vin (talk) 20:29, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

as I am now bleary eyed, as my day comes to a close, I decided to explore the magic of "what links here" to my own name. I was kind of amused that there was concern that some werid vandal has compromised my account, and became the david winters bot. LOL. I saw your note about a sharp change in focus with my edits. Despite my attention deficit disorder, which explains how I deviate from movies to piano manufacturers, a side effect of ADD is hyper focus, which is what I am demonstrating with my citation project. I had no idea the coincidence of the aip winters prior deletions. I was a bit unnerved by the non-notable flag oing up so quickly after I started it. But I have deduced that someone had been mass editing related articles for some time. I feel I have done a pretty good job citing what is already here. and I have you to thank for issuing --K3vin (talk) 10:51, 2 October 2008 (UTC)the challenge. My previous edits had been simple things, or other ones that may not have been generally known. I had recently learned to use the reference tag, but now I can cite a book without cuting and pasting the template LOL. Cheers. I kind of feel notorious now[reply]

cite and notability tags[edit]

After numerous edits and citations, I have removed the notability and citation tags from Action International Pictures and Space Mutiny. The justfication for which are on their respective talk pages. But to shortline it - Mystery Science Theater 3000 is the "Criterion Collection" of B-Movies. cheers thanks a lot --K3vin (talk) 05:51, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I dunno really, is this of any use........? -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 15:01, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yeah, I've seen that (it's partly why I thought it was just me that had taht IP address). Guess I'll just have to be even more careful about remembering to log in so I don't get tarred with the same brush as some annoying vandal. Jasynnash2 (talk) 16:27, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User:Trevor MacInnis has replied on my talk page to our inquiries over his undeletion of the above arline articles. His basic response appears to be that he has changed his mind a little on the situation. He sees our points from the notability link. OTOH, his new position is that, while they are not automatically notable, they have at least an assertion of notability, and are thus still not eligible for A7 speedy deletion. I still do not see it, but I'm not really that interested in making a fight out of it. At this point, if you want to continue to press the issue, I see you as having several options:

  1. Continue to try to persude Travor to your way of seeing things.
  2. Take the matter to WP:DRV to try to get a ruling as to whether you and I were correct, or he was, over the A7 deletion/undeletion.
  3. Take them to AFD as Trevor mentions in his comments on my talk page.
  4. Drop the whole thing.

If you go to DRV or AFD I'll likely drop in to comment on it, but otherwise I think I'm mostly out of this one. Avistion is far from an area of strong interest for me, I just happened to be the (un)lucky admin who happened across these things at CAT:CSD. - TexasAndroid (talk) 14:18, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • To be bluntly honest it isn't my area of interest either and I happened across them by accident. I think overturning your speedy deletion without some sort of discussion is probably against process and stuff but, not knowing anything about the person in question I'm not in the mood to get into any sort of "fight" over it. Hi there,

I'm working through the backlog at Category:Wikipedia_articles_needing_copy_edit_from_October_2008 and came across the Nenad Mišović article. I see you PRODded this last week, and that the creator removed the tag. I was considering trying to clean it up per the copyedit tag, but having looked around I can find no evidence that the guy is notable. There are five English language Google hits for his name, of which one is the WP article itself, another the one article here that links to it, and another a record of the initial prodding. The other two are from a single news source, so there's nothing to contradict the "not a news source or place to reproduce news stories" guideline. I'm pretty new around here but this looks to me like a good candidate to proceed to AfD - but I'd love to know your thoughts before I go ahead with that. Gonzonoir (talk) 09:58, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I see there is an explaination on the talk page (although I have to admit I didn't read it indepthly. AfD is probably the best place if the remover of the tag just gets "ratty" and doesn't try to present a coherent case. It would also bring the article to the attention of other people more intimately familiar with the policies and guidelines so the article gets a discussion of somesort. Make sure to let the originator/primary contributor of the article know about the Afd so they can contribute. Jasynnash2 (talk) 11:51, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers Jasynnash2 - will do. Gonzonoir (talk) 12:39, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stage 6 Films[edit]

To whom it may concern,

Basically, the Stage 6 Films article isn't about a band whatsoever. It's the name label by Sony Pictures Entertainment. I basically did the article to talk about what the studio does so therefore it wouldn't get confused with another Stage 6. King Shadeed 14:35, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't believe I ever claimed it was a band but, good luck either way and happy editing. Jasynnash2 (talk) 08:09, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Section length, Book titles, et al.[edit]

Hi. Can you read this section and then offer your opinion on the points raised, specifically the issue of titles in the FCB, length and detail of given sections, what constitutes “fannishness”, etc.? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 14:32, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've had an extremely quick look but, can't comment either way at present (bit ill and overcommited at the moment). I'll try to read it more indepthly in a bit but, can't promise anything. Jasynnash2 (talk) 09:07, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Digitally Imported AfD undo[edit]

Hi Jasynnash2! I requested a copy of the "Digitally Imported" article which was deleted twice via AfD, and on the second time you voted "weak delete" on grounds of not establishing notability with third-party sources (which I agree with at the state the article was in at the time). I've worked on the article and removed all the advertising, as well as adding third-party sources to establish notability. If at all possible, I would very much appreciate it if you could give the article a once-over and see if you find it a suitable article. It's currently located here: User:Twinzor/Sandbox/Digitally Imported. My intention is not to canvass, but to just see if other editor's think the page is good enough to be moved to mainspace. If, however, you don't have the time or interest to review the article, I completely understand that. And of course, if you think the article still has issues, pointing those out would be very helpfull! Thanks, and happy editing! — Twinzor Say hi! - Do I suck or rock? 12:25, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
