October 2014[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Quenhitran. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Boracay, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. —ALittleQuenhi (talk to me) 03:03, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you have said so then I have nothing to say. I might have made a mistake, of course... The site seems to be a spam at first, since it's not something officially issued (by the government or so) (as far as I've seen). If you want audiences to read the contents in the site, why don't you copy it to Wikipedia and make an inline citation to that site? —ALittleQuenhi (talk to me) 04:14, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
As I have reviewed in accordance with WP:EL, I think your link is somewhat acceptable. But keep in mind that other editors like me may question your addition of links again in the future, and that you'd better read the links I gave you in the welcome section to get the most out of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Happy editing! —ALittleQuenhi (talk to me) 05:50, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

December 2014[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Boracay. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you.  Revi 09:56, 16 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
