Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Amygdalin. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. - @Rosguill:Hi, thanks for your note. You may do as you wish with the link; I don't strongly object. But being originally from Gulfport, Mississippi, I do know of its historical and cultural use as an alternative term. I can tell you that along the coast it is almost as common as the term "The War of Northern Aggression" to refer to the US Civil War, but instead of redirecting there it redirects to Names of the American Civil War. Anecdotally, "The Southern Sea" was used as an alternative descriptor for the Gulf of Mexico, especially during and for some time after the Mexican-American War, and retains minor use even today. In popular culture, the most notable use of the term I know of is in Three Dog Night's song "Yellow Beach Umbrella," nicely covered by Bette Midler[1] and others. - JGabbard (talk) 20:08, 26 July 2019 (UTC)

Please don't change chart section formatting to suit yourself
Hi. Please don't change chart sections to combine charts and certifications like you did here. I created the article for "Sucker", and I don't see how in any way that benefits it. First of all, on most "modern" song articles (as in, on most articles from the 1990s and beyond), the section header "chart history" is not a thing—I know you've probably added it to thousands of song and album articles from the '80s and earlier, but it's really not used very widely outside of those. Charts and certifications are also rarely combined anymore, because most active chart editors stopped combining them years ago and some even went about actively separating them. That might be how you prefer to format chart sections on articles you created, but please stop doing it to articles you didn't create. If you edit war or disregard WP:BRD, I will report you to an administrator because you have reverted me indirectly for undoing you in the past, probably hoping I wouldn't notice, and it has been a pain. Your history of adding unreliable sources for old charts (using IP address websites and blogs for chart positions) and poor formatting choices (like putting a space between a reference and italic markup) honestly means you should be monitored more than you probably are. I do not wish to be pinged by you, because I know you will type out a paragraph defending yourself and having a go back at me for "condescending" to you or whatever, but I'm not having an argument with you. Last time I sent you a message you typed altogether too much and the argument was a waste of time. I'm just telling you what I will do if I see you reformat chart sections to suit your outdated personal preference—and before you try to level the same accusation of personal preference at me, separating charts and certifications was done long before I did it. Liz Crokin article
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Liz Crokin a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Liz Crokin. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. You've seen this phenomenon before because it is entirely commonplace for other people to join (not interrupt) discussions on what are public talk pages - you surely can't have expected to be able to question JGabbard's competence in private? Notwithstanding your coyness about what you meant by the Kravitz remark (I'm still none the wiser - never having watched the show, I'm not sure what I'm meant to infer from the comparison), you say that you are in favour of simple, direct language, so I will be frank: I thought your question about whether they understood notability was quite silly, in light of what they had just said to you, so I pointed out that if what they said was true, there would be no question of notability. I did not comment on your follow-on question, asking whether they would be willing to add sourcing to the article to demonstrate the truth of what they said - that seemed reasonable, so I left it alone.

I avoid it because encyclopedias are about facts, not opinions, agendas, or reading between the lines. I encourage people to read the lines rather than the blank spaces between them. Figurative language takes us into the clouds and is best left to poets. I'm an American with his feet happily on terra firma, though I do own a West Highland terrier who also loves terra firma—but he's an American Westie, right? I can see why people are afraid to talk to me. I'll take honest American plain speaking, insults even, over deception and concealment any day of the week. The phenomenon I referred to earlier? WP:BLP cannot be used as cover for politicians classified as RINOs by WP:RS. Be it offensive or not, Romney certainly has this type of coverage, so how can he be an exception? - Threads that don't have a timestamp will not be automatically archived, so you may want to move/delete them at your discretion. It would be possible to find when they were created and add a timestamp, but considering that they're old and that some threads were also blanked in the past, it may be more trouble than worth. A bit late but
An IP editor recently undid these edits of yours to Vicarius Filii Dei (which is what brought them to my attention), where you cited this source to claim that the phrase "Vicarius Filii Dei" was consistently used for centuries in papal canons and other Catholic publications.
However, that source is a single primary source that fails to demonstrate a trend. It also does not discuss the use of the title "Vicar of the Son of God" in Catholic history. It does not even refer to the pope as the Vicar of the Son of God. It is not even about the pope, but Fernando Póo being appointed over Thailand (Rivi Muniensis) as a Vicar of the Apostles (vicariatu apostolico). It was not even signed by the pope. The closest it comes to the pope was that it was issued by some bishops on behalf of an office the pope is technically in charge of.
However, I see that you have since moved on to music edits, where I can only assume that you are editing far more in line with our policies and guidelines (such as WP:V and WP:NOR). May you have plenty of fun making good edits there. Ian.thomson (talk) 07:26, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
