Information icon Hello Ishdarian. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know however, regarding Kingdometernal, that tagging articles for speedy deletion moments after creation as lacking context (CSD A1), content (CSD A3) and articles created through the Article Wizard, is too fast. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks. Eeekster (talk) 23:11, 5 May 2013 (UTC)

I normally wouldn't have tagged that page, but he had created three pages with no content to them at all. I don't believe that waiting the 10-15 minutes would have changed anything since three articles with similar names had already been created, but I will keep that in mind for next time. Thanks! why

why did you delete my article it clearly say on the top (Fictional/CHARACTER) — Preceding unsigned comment added by CarlKruegr (talkcontribs) 23:24, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

Wikipedia is not for things made up one day. You should give the guideline I just linked a thorough reading. Ishdarian 00:03, 14 May 2013 (UTC)

Redirect 2013 IRS scandal

We had reached consensus at the IRS Teaparty investigation article to rename to 2013 IRS scandal. Then the article got locked down. We are awaiting the admin to do the redirect from there ot 2013 IRS scandal. If for some reason he doesn't, I'll self revert. Capitalismojo (talk) 17:39, 17 May 2013 (UTC)

I created this before it went into protection. Not after. But per your comment, I'll revert. Capitalismojo (talk) 18:14, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
Ah, mea culpa. I didn't notice that. The rest of my advice still stands. I believe it should be deleted for now and the discussion be allowed to continue on the talk page for a bit longer. Ishdarian 18:20, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
Oops. I already contested per the redirect guidelines. I'm fine either way. Sorry for the confussion. Capitalismojo (talk) 18:21, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
No worries! I think we should both wait it out from here. :) Ishdarian 18:22, 17 May 2013 (UTC)

why can I not create a fictional character on Wiki? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kam0813 (talkcontribs) 01:01, 18 May 2013 (UTC)

You should give WP:MADEUP a reading. That should explain your question :) Ishdarian 01:07, 18 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi

Hello. Your thoughts on why the AVANU page should be deleted are welcome. Thank you for your time and knowledge. RimeRoyal (talk) 02:50, 18 May 2013 (UTC)

The article didn't really assert why the company was notable. I saw that the article on Avanu has been created twice, with the latest incarnation being created by you. You should definitely read the first article guide or head over to Articles for Creation. At AfC, there are a lot of experienced editors who can give you helpful feedback on how to improve your article and get it ready for mainspace. Good luck! Ishdarian 18:23, 18 May 2013 (UTC)

Thanks! I think AVANU is a notable entity and would add to Wikipedia. The networking course I graduated from was very heavily influenced by Cisco and their proprietary products. I would like to see more companies like AVANU, who embrace open source ideals in the manufacture of load balancers and other networking appliances. This is just my opinion, but I do believe a company like AVANU warrants a page on Wikipedia. RimeRoyal (talk) 14:37, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Scott Beale

He probably should have an entry separate from Laughing Squid -- he's done more notable items (http://scottbeale.org/timeline/) than just that, and the blog has a full team of bloggers. I'm going to undo the redirect; if you object, let me know and redo it? DNL (talk) 13:44, 18 May 2013 (UTC)

Even if he has stuff listed on his self-produced timeline, it doesn't matter here unless we have the reliable sources to back up the information. That said, I don't plan on reverting your changes. I did a quick search yesterday to see if I could find any sources on him, but a lot of stuff that mention him was about LS. However, if you feel you can improve the article, then I don't want to hold you back. :) Ishdarian 18:15, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. I realize that his timeline isn't a reliable source, just that I think there are many out there. Appreciate it! -DNL (talk) 01:02, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

I made a page today which i hadnt finished making when it got deleted can you tell me why? Because if its about it being a fake person or something else i can tell you the page is 100% legitimate and all coming from my own brain as the page was to be made about me so i could allow my fans to see what troubles i have been through my whole life and also so they could see my wikipedia page and see what youtube videos i would be releasing next and stuff like that so could you please ask the person in charge of deletion to allow me to finish my page and allow it to be a fully functional and working page as i am letting my fans know about my work and my life i may only have less than 1000 fans but soon that could turn into being millions and they wont be able to know how much my life has changed because there will be no wikipedia page keeping them up to date with everything! Wikipedia is like my fans ultimate guide to my life where they can find out whatever they wanted about me — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaymee95 (talkcontribs) 22:27, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion

I am creating the movie myself and I would be happy if you gave me time to complete this article instead of instantly marking it for speedy deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FalconF16 (talkcontribs) 20:10, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
