It would help if you would follow normal practice and post new messages at the bottom of the page. Also, you have now been asked three specific questions on two separate occasions, and have failed to answer them. We require adequate answers to these questions before an unblock can be considered. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 11:50, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on IMS Learning Resources Pvt. Ltd., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, Imsindia1, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Response: To Question 1. I understand that Wikipedia is not a business directory. It was not my intention to treat it as such. I was merely listing IMS Learning Resources as a 36-year-old education company that has an extensive presence across India, and I assumed this would be reasonable since there are already several private limited companies listed on Wikipedia. I state unequivocally that I did not mean to promote IMS in any way whatsoever. Response to Question 2. I understand conflict of interest. Once again, it was not my intention to cause any conflict, all I wanted was to put up IMS on Wikipedia. I assumed having "imsindia" in the username would simplify things a little. Unfortunately, I was unaware of the Wikipedia policy that this would show up as a "conflict of interest". I had edited articles on Wikipedia 9 to 10 years ago when the guidelines were not as stringent, and it was my mistake to have assumed that things would remain much the same. My apologies for the presumption. Response to Question 3. I understand that the subject has to be notable. I have done my research: IMS has had extensive coverage, some directly, others as not the main topic of the article,in noted newspapers, including The Economic Times, Dainik Jagran, etc. In the context of my response to the second question, would it therefore be possible to allow anand_s as my username?

Whilst editing Wikipedia with a conflict of interest is not explicitly prohibited it is strongly advised that you don't because it can be very difficult to edit with a neutral point of view. Given this do you still intend to edit/creae articles in which you have a conflict of interest. If yes, would you be willing to draft your article then submit it for review through the articles for creation process so that other editors can review your edits?
