Archiving assistance[edit]

Hi Immblueversion, I see that someone has requested that you archive this talkpage. If it's okay with you, I'll go ahead and archive it for you, and setup a bot that will automatically archive older threads? Then you won't have to worry about it anymore! --Elonka 05:40, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and created simply an archive since the user is unwilling to respond as it seems... mabdul 13:35, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Characters of Kingdom Hearts[edit]

I tried trimming some of Other characters section from Characters of Kingdom Hearts#Other characters removing excessive voice actor info and bolding. However, I could not reorganize them in prose as I did with Twilight Town and Hollow Bastion since I'm not very familiar with some movies. Another strange thing is that I can't find official announcements of English voice actors such as the casting of Birth by Sleep to add more accessible refs than the games themselves. Anyways, regards.Tintor2 (talk) 03:20, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also, 'Gunman' is not the singular form of Gunmen. It's simply Gunmen. The word is not English. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on List of Fairl Tail episodes (season 4) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. FunkyCanute (talk) 14:09, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Discord concept art.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Discord concept art.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:22, 15 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:MLP FIM - Discord.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Discord, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 02:12, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Talkback (normally I don't do this but I'll make an exception due to lateness.)[edit]

Hey Immblueversion. I've replied to your enquiry over at my talk page. Sorry for being so late, as I've been quite busy of late and this is actually my first day back in November. Normally I don't do talkbacks (due to the "thread continuity" message at the top of my page) but because the reply was so late I'm dropping this message here to make sure you don't miss it. --.Yellow1996.(ЬMИED¡) 18:24, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kill la Kill Episode 13[edit]

Screencap from episode 12 of the episode 13 preview, ripped from Crunchyroll:

http://i.imgur.com/TiL4YAp.jpg

I see this as the title for episode 13. Unless you have proof otherwise, please show me. CDB-Man (talk) 23:25, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, the translation of the Japanese title, 君に薔薇薔薇・・・という感じ (Kimi ni Barabara... Toiu Kanji), is roughly translated as "The feeling of roses... to you".

Therefore, I'm inclined to believe that "Feeling Like Scattered Roses... When You Are Near" is the correct English title, unless you can show otherwise! (with a screenshot or something! not all of us are in countries that have access to Hulu) CDB-Man (talk) 23:38, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

First, that is not the Crunchyroll translation. That is the Horrible Subs fan translation. Crunchyroll uses subtitles to translate the Japanese text in its previews instead of replacing it with English text, like so. It was released before Crunchyroll due to production delays. Please check your sources next time.
Second, we never use fan translations when official translations are available. Even if the fan translation is "more correct" or "more accurate" than the official one, it can still be classified as original research. Wikipedia does not aim to have accurate translations; it aims to be accurate and unbiased to the work's translations, warts and all.
Third, here's the Aniplex translation used on Hulu. As Aniplex holds distribution rights in North America, it's given the highest priority in this WikiProject, and hence their translations should be used.
Long story short: use Aniplex translations on Wikipedia. That's all there is to it. User:Immblueversion (talk) 02:15, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So what you are saying is, despite the fact that Aniplex's translation is obviously incorrect when compared to the on-screen Japanese text, it's what will be used here... unless and until Aniplex issues a correction. (correction as something like a news release, an updated episode title in the episode list when they actually broadcast ep 13, etc.)
This understanding is correct? If so, then I agree with the title you had entered, despite it being wrong :/ Side note: I probably shouldn't count on Aniplex revising any of this. CDB-Man (talk) 02:30, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and thanks for the explanation! CDB-Man (talk) 02:40, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Immblueversion. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Discord".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Discord}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. TKK! bark with me! 21:21, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I see your comment here. There is nothing on WP:MOS-JA that says what you think it says. The section at WP:MOS-JA#Capitalization of words in Roman script is meant to cover the English form. Not the romanization. There is nothing there that says "Make the capitalizaton of the romaji match the transliterated/translated form". Also, there's a section at the bottom that covers this as well under WP:MOS-JA#Capitalization of the Hepburn romanization, so "Kiru Ra Kiru" is the correct method. Simply because the company chose the English title to be "Kill la Kill" does not mean we parse the Japanese title as "Kiru ra Kiru".—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 11:58, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fairy Tail episodes — English airdates[edit]

I'll leave this up to you since you work on the FT pages more than I do. Aren't the English airdates supposed to reflect when the English dub airs on Funimation Channel? It seems that some of the airdates are/have been using the release of the English Blu-rays. (If we're keeping them we should probably include a note to mention that they are in fact the BD releases, to be precise) I'm not sure if Funimation stopped showing the English dub on their channel but this should be fixed if they still do. —KirtZMail 15:49, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To editor KirtZJ: I'm afraid I can't find anything about the airdates, archived or otherwise. While I found a schedule on the Funimation Channel site, there's nothing saying whether they're the first English airdates or reruns. All I know is that Funimation lists the seasons differently from the way it's done on Wikipedia. For instance, "Season 5" here is actually "Season 7" there; "Season 3" was split into two seasona after episode 100. You can find this on the Funimation website. It's probably for the best that we stick to the BD releases. User:Immblueversion (talk) 16:13, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

fancruft[edit]

were my edits to the character list good in removing some of that ? thoughts please cheers ~Helicopter Llama~ 22:20, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To editor HelicopterLlama: While they are an improvement, I'm still at a loss on how to deal with this EG stuff. It seems like describing which friend had a fight with who, and for what reason, is also fancruft in and of itself. I do, however, have an idea that might not only sort out this EG business, but also help improve the page in general. I'll talk about it on the list's talk page. User:Immblueversion (talk) 23:02, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
btw I'm becoming increasingly concerned about the actions of fireydash21. This user seems to be ignoring the general direction of the article, adding this fancruft, and has had a history of being highly confrontational, they're the one who reverted those edits, what do? ~Helicopter Llama~ 17:19, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
To editor HelicopterLlama: Now...we wait. Because I reported them. User:Immblueversion (talk) 19:53, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Quick note[edit]

Though I agree that the changes on EQG:RR for the most part of this edit you undid ([1]) were not proper and your edit to undo them was correct, do note that we actually encourage editors to write plots of fiction "out of universe", meaning that we should establish events relative to the context of the film as a published work and not bounded by the fiction of the universe. In the case of EQG:RR , as a linear story, its not needed outside of establishing that the first scene overlaps with the first movie, and that the movie as a whole takes place after S4. --MASEM (t) 00:57, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Masem: I can't remember what article it was (probably The Lego Movie), but I was once discouraged from opening plot summaries with "the film opens with" or "the film is set in" and the like, and that such practice would be better suited for other sections in the article; perhaps the header would be a good place to mention that the movie is set after season 4. Besides, several plot summaries in good and featured articles on films seem to do fine without it. User:Immblueversion (talk) 01:22, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that "the film begins" is unnecessary for a primarily linear film. Most of the changes you undid were unnecessary like that. Just that where it is necessary to step out-of-universe to describe a film, we are allowed to do that (eg take Memento for example) It doesn't need it on EQG:RR as you describe. --MASEM (t) 01:29, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

July 2016[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Umineko: When They Cry a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. —Farix (t | c) 14:22, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re: My Little Pony: The Movie[edit]

Thank you very much for the advice, and thanks for helping the article meet some of those standards as well as organizing it to look more professional. Hopefully the article will get accepted soon. User:Animation100 (talk) 8:23, 26 July 2016 (UCT)

Got Declinded, this is what I got back: "This is an extremely, EXTREMELY reluctant decline on my part, but unfortunately this doesn't seem to pass notability guidelines at this point in time, as there's no confirmation that voice recording has begun. In order to pass NFF you'd have to show that the movie has started production (ie, the actors are on set and acting), which in this case would be the voice cast starting to record parts of the movie. It's frustrating with animation since the animation should already be in progress, given that this takes time to create, but this seems to be the norm with NFF and animation. (I saw that the last Toy Story film didn't pass NFF until there was confirmation about Hanks, Allen, and all showing up to record their lines.) If you can find something to confirm this, even if it's a primary source like a Twitter post, then the article should be golden and I'll move it to the mainspace myself", so made if I put some of the information about Ashleigh Ball and Tara Strong recording maybe that may help. User:Animation100 (talk) 12:28, 27 July 2016 (UCT)

To editor Animation100: The link of Schreiber confirming his role said that he just finished recording. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 14:24, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

To editor SubZeroSilver: I know. I was going to make a small section in Casting also saying both Ball and Strong confirmed recording had started through Twitter, and put Schreiber's comments on his role and the Jimmy Kimmel clip there as well, you think that may help as well? User:Animation100 (talk) 2:53, 27 July 2016 (UCT)

To editor Animation100: Just a word of caution on the Tara Strong recording. Because Tara didn't directly say what she was recording, the only way to tell she was talking about the film is by comparing the art style with currently released images. Without a direct confirmation, that would be an example of original research by synthesis, which is something we don't want. The Schreiber and Ball comments should be enough. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 21:56, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

To editor SubZeroSilver: So did the Sony email part of the article had to be deleted entirely? Not mad just wondering cause from what was said, I think the main problem was it was phrased too much to where it was interpreting the emails. User:Animation100 (talk) 7:59, 28 July 2016 (UCT)

To editor Animation100: I believe it tipped the references a bit too much towards relying on primary sources. It's probably better to leave out leaks that aren't addressed by second- and third-party sources. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 20:47, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No speculation[edit]

You are assuming that i "speculated" but the whole Page of sister's location was with speculations way before i "speculated", such as the name of the protagonist we are not even sure if the name is Mike, it could even be the mechanic before him, also the endings are NOT called normal ending and alternate they are called false and true endings. Baby is truly possessed by the ghost of Afton's daughter(Well until the night 4 at least when Ennard's ghost devours the ghost of the little girl.) since she was killed by the baby animatronic. You just don't agree with my theory, you used the excuse that i "speculated", people allways do this when they don't agree with another person's edit and they undo it just like you did with me. ZenIceHero (talk) 14:41, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

To editor ZenIceHero: But you admit it's only a theory, and theories count as original research, which detracts from the overall quality of the article as a source of unbiased information. In addition, the name "Mike" can be verified, both by the included citation from Kotaku, and the in-game dialogue that clearly indicates "Mike" as the character's name. That is why "Mike" will remain in the article, while postulations such as "Baby is possessed by the girl she killed" (despite Baby referring to the girl as a different entity), or "Ennard reached a compromise with Mike to stay with him" (despite there being no such scene or statement to confirm this) will be removed. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 21:15, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I get what you're saying, but you know that there still a lot of hidden plot details to uncover in Sister's location so we will have to wait for them to be discovered by the other people playing the game. ZenIceHero (talk) 23:45, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
To editor ZenIceHero: That doesn't automatically make it suitable to add now. If we were to add those theories to the plot section simply because they existed, then that would invite countless others to include their own, conflicting theories that would make just as much sense. Then the section would lose its focus as a general synopsis of what is shown. And if we were to add a section dedicated to the collection of these different theories, it would only be allowed if they are verifiable. Otherwise, that would detract from the overall neutrality of the subject.
To cite an example of the article that approaches the game's plot more appropriately, look at the Five Nights at Freddy's 4 article. The plot section states that the main character hears a voice apologizing to him in the end, but it doesn't specify the voice as the main character's brother as commonly concluded by players, because we simply can't know based on the game alone, and there are no verifiable sources that indicate this to actually be the case.
We may predict and anticipate what will happen in the future, or make our own conclusions on what we have in the meantime, and we can do it all we want. However, we mustn't do that in the article, because that's not what the article is for. All we can do as editors is describe every aspect of the game we can in a way that respects the subject, as well as readers familiar and unfamiliar with it.
In short, these rules are why we have the FNAF Wiki. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 00:35, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notes about EQG film characters[edit]

I added notes in following occasions because I thought they were necessary. Can you tell me why do you think it's not?

  • In the My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Friendship Games article
    • At the top of Cast section: "The film marks the absence of the pony counterparts in Equestria as depicted in Friendship Is Magic television series, except for Princess Twilight Sparkle who appears in a brief pre-credits scene. All the counterparts in Equestria are completely absent in the next film, Legend of Everfree."
  • In the My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Legend of Everfree article, at the Cast section
    • At the top: "The pony counterparts in Equestria as depicted in Friendship Is Magic television series make a complete absence in this film."
    • A notation right next to the names "Lyra Heartstrings", "Bonbon", "Muffins", "Sandalwood" and "Bulk Biceps": "The character's name is not mentioned in the main part of the film, but it is named as so in the closing credits."

JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 07:03, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The "Cast" list is supposed to list who the actors play, not who they don't. The fact that the pony counterparts aren't mentioned should be enough of an indicator. Furthermore, I just don't see the need to point out whether or not the characters' names are listed in the credits, especially when a.) the ones who are clearly based on established characters with those names, and b.) we have a character listing on the main article to explain who they are. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 14:04, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Fairy Tail the Movie: Phoenix Priestess[edit]

Hello. National varieties of English[edit]

Information icon In a recent edit to the page Metroid: Samus Returns, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to India, use Indian English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Ireland, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. – Hounder4 19:41, 23 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

MLP movie[edit]

Just curious as to what the issue was with this edit; [2]. All of these are minor and classic roles. (Especially Granny Smith and Applebloom, whose voices are not really heard, but only confirmed in the credits), so it seemed like normal way to phrase the sentence by saying "other credits include".Wikicontributor12 (talk) 20:57, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Wikicontributor12: It was a run-on sentence. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 21:48, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, fair enough. That concern did cross my mind, but at the time I was just focusing on phrasing. Thanks for the response. Wikicontributor12 (talk) 22:31, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I recently got the chance to see the movie again, and I noticed that the credits on the article are in the same order as they were in the film credits. So, I apologize. I was a little too eager to try and improve things. :) Wikicontributor12 (talk) 07:39, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

MLP cast[edit]

Sorry about that. I was aware of Michael and Paul, but I hadn't noticed that Brian was credited as Verko right above, so my intention had been to edit repeats of Michael's full name before the list mentioned Paul. Wikicontributor12 (talk) 00:37, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. In your edit earlier today, you re-added Babs Seed and Gabby to the "Secondary Characters" section after I had previously removed them. As I mentioned in my edit summary: "Babs and Gabby are not secondary characters. They're not even reoccurring characters—they're one-shot episode-specific characters. (Technically Babs appeared in Apple Family Reunion, but that was a minor role.)" May I ask why you re-added them? Unknownlight (talk) 16:14, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To editor UnknownLight: Must've happened when I reverted the edit that went into too much detail with Derpy and blatantly ignored the trademarked character names. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 17:19, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
To editor SubZeroSilver: No problem. I'll change it back then.

A Ridiculous Reason![edit]

If Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb are unreliable sources when it comes to what I’m trying to put in, then why does Wikipedia even use those sites in the first place? It’s ridiculous and at the same time barely makes sense!Austin012599 (talk) 15:46, 26 November 2017 (UTC) Austin012599 (talk) 15:46, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Austin012599: Most well-sourced film articles ignore the audience score on Rotten Tomatoes because it can easily be influenced by people for reasons beyond actual critique, and instead focus on RT's compilation of more reliable third-party sources. As for IMDb, because the information on that site can be edited by users much like Wikipedia, it generally should not be used as a source at all. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 16:06, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Okay.

Well, can we at least expand more on the critical response part of the page? By adding in reviews or something? No offense, but, what it already has, even though it also has the score, is too vague to really help people get what the critics think of the movie.Austin012599 (talk) 20:09, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

See if you can work them! Austin012599 (talk) 02:43, 9 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Austin012599: I have. Those reviews are from foreign countries (India and Singapore), and reviews from a film's country of origin are recommended. I don't know why there aren't any exceptions to this, exactly; I used the search engine to look over hundreds of other Wikipedia articles containing film reviews from those sites, and they only appear in articles on Indian/Singaporean topics. But if I had to say, it'd be that using foreign reviews would be too indiscriminate for Wikipedia; what would stop us from including reviews from every other country that has one? It's for reasons like this that we don't list every country that released the movie a day before the U.S. wide release. So it's best to keep the reviews local. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 15:24, 9 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh. I see.

Do you know how to add pictures to the wiki?

I’m looking for pictures to add to Hank Azaria’s page in preparation for the Night at the Museum 2 page.

I found plenty of great ones on Google, but, I don’t know how to get them on here without it looking like some kind of blank thing. Austin012599 (talk) 15:03, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello? Anyone there? Austin012599 (talk) 20:21, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Silver[edit]

I was wondering if you could stop by the page for Finding Dory?

You see, a while back I added in some negative reviews about the film that came from “The Hollywood Reporter” and “The Los Angeles Times”. But similar to the My Little Pony Movie, I was unable to make the sources of the reviews into references.

I was wondering if you could come by to finish what I started and do what I couldn’t?

I’m asking you this because I trust you to take care of it and correct it.

Prose advice[edit]

There is currently work in the article Sasuke Uchiha with the aim at making it FA. A fellow user Flowerpiep has been editing the prose while two copyeditors already touched it twice. Could you give it a look to see if the prose is in good state to nominate it? I believe you might be experienced after seeing your profile. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 01:20, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Tintor2: Apart from a few unnecessary parentheses, there's very little else I see wrong with it. You'll find no objections from me. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 02:30, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the comment and edits to the article. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 15:48, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The article was nominated to FA here. You are welcome to provide any comments. Thanks.Tintor2 (talk) 20:56, 28 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There is a request I would like you to ask: the review of Sasuke Uchiha seems fine. However, a fellow user, IDV, said that Sasuke Uchiha#In Naruto might need some checks. Two other users replied to him stating the prose was fine. Anyway, me and Flowerpiep tried trimming and made the section easier to understand. Could you give it a check? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 15:22, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Tintor2: Looking through the edit history, it looks like you have it under control as is. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 03:29, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The article's review is about to end but a mod is not sure about it. Could you give Sasuke Uchiha a small prose check? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 15:44, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Tintor2: I gave it another look through and spruced up the prose bit. Tell me if that mod has any other issue with it, and what that issue could be. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 12:41, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The Perfect Pear[edit]

I'm fully aware that "other stuff exists" cannot officially be used to justify an article's existence, but I'm curious, how is A Hearth's Warming Tail notable enough for an article, yet The Perfect Pear is not? Also I would've appreciated having some sort of discussion somewhere before deleting hours of my work and redirecting it. --AmaryllisGardener talk 17:14, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To editor AmaryllisGardener: I apologize for the lack of communication. That was something on my part. But there needs to be more than just two instances of third-party coverage to substantiate an article, and more than one that isn't from a fan site like Derpy News and Equestria Daily, which are normally best avoided. This is something that pervades several MLP-related articles. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 17:49, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I'll go back to the sandbox and try to search for better sources. --AmaryllisGardener talk 17:50, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Xion[edit]

In case you don't know there was once a Xion (Kingdom Hearts) article. Although it had some real world information with an award for the reception it was merged. I don't know if it has potential to be unmerged but I thought it was necessary if you knew about it. Just check the redirect's history. Other than that, I haven't been able to find reception (or even creation) about Riku other than some jokes from GamesRadar. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 19:48, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Tintor2: I know of Xion's article. In fact, I salvaged the source detailing her creation from that page. As for other characters, while I don't think there is enough for separate articles, there must be something else regarding their real-world status as fictional characters. Interviews, comments from Nomura or the actors, etc. Speaking of which, could actor comments be included, especially where they describe their roles and give impressions of their characters? Just to help spread out the real world info in these character lists. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 22:37, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, for articles in general finding comments regarding voice actor is approved here. Just see the creation information that I made for Allen Walker as his three actors have commented on their work.Tintor2 (talk) 23:20, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
On another thing, I wonder if you could see the article Kazuya Mishima which I have been trying to clean up while Flowerpiep copyedited. Any advice or copyedit would be greatly appreciated.Tintor2 (talk) 21:47, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Roy Mustang[edit]

Hello. I noticed that you edited some Fullmetal Alchemist articles some days ago. I've just recently added a certain expansion to the character of Roy Mustang and wondered whether or not it could become a GA. I would request a copyedit, but I already requested the copyedit of Dante and Nero. Do you think you can check the article and try a connomination to GA? I'm open to every idea. Happy editing.Tintor2 (talk) 23:53, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Tintor2: I've noticed a lot of uses of the word "from" in places where it should be "of" or "for" (e.g. "readers from the series" would mean that people who read the manga are a part of the manga itself). User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 00:20, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that's why I said I want it bring to the guild but I already made two requests. Previously, we could request a third one but they reduced the number. Still, thanks for making check. Will see if I can request a copyedit in the future though. If you are interested, you are free to also nominate it in the future based on your experience.Tintor2 (talk) 00:25, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Featured List for FT and One Piece Character articles?[edit]

Hi. I know we've discussed a potential FLC for the List of Fairy Tail characters article before, but I've been a little busy lately. I'm still interested in getting that list up to FL status, as well as the List of One Piece characters article (both are B-Class status at the moment). Shall we join forces, as usual? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 01:07, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Sjones23: There's no harm in it. Bear in mind, I have a much tighter grasp on the plot of Fairy Tail than One Piece, so I can more easily detect when summaries about it might not be written in the most accurate or efficient way. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 01:28, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I see. In the past, we've both worked on the FT summaries using the One Piece character list as a model; we may need to get a new consensus on the talk page regarding which characters should be kept in sections of their own, may only be mentioned, or deleted altogether. Speaking of which, we may need to ask AngusWOOF about beefing up the sources for the One Piece character sheet. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 01:34, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Sjones23: Actually, I've been trying to model the page after List of Tokyo Mew Mew characters and List of D.Gray-man characters; the former because it's already an FL that I feel is more deserving than the List of Naruto characters, and the latter because it has received heavy contributions from Tintor2, who brought related character articles to GA and FA status. On a related note, I don't know about getting One Piece sources, but I've already gathered some more sources for FT's reception section. Most of them relate to the guild as a whole, since I've still been trying to make a separate article for them. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 01:48, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Gotcha. Meanwhile, I've created a new section for including certain characters in the series here. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 01:55, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Episode list FLCs?[edit]

So, about the episode summaries for the Fairy Tail episode lists, summaries in episode tables should be no longer than 200 words per WP:TVPLOT. I'm also thinking about updating the episode lists for potential FLCs, using List of One Piece episodes (season 2) (a B-class list), List of Dragon Ball Z Kai episodes (a C-class list) and List of One Piece episodes (season 5) (an FL) as points of references. I've also noticed the summaries in certain episodes may need to be expanded to fit the guideline's recommended word count. What are your thoughts about this? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 02:45, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Sjones23: I expanded a couple of episode summaries for that exact purpose a few months ago, but it's going to take a larger effort than characters. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 03:26, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. I'm also expanding on a few summaries for that purpose also. Maybe we can ask others to help out on it at WT:ANIME...? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 03:28, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Sjones23: Question: should we include full character names or leave them restricted to the names they were known by at the time of each season's release? For instance, Jude's name wasn't revealed until he was already dead. I also strongly advise against surnames that are treated as plot twists, like "Zeref Dragneel" and "Silver Fullbuster". User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 03:39, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'm guessing we should include full character names. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 03:40, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Sjones23: But not plot twist names in episode summaries prior to the twists. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 03:43, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm... Anyway, now that we've already got confirmation of the anime's final season, it should only be a matter of time before an inevitable list of episodes is going to be added. As you said, it will take a larger effort that the character list. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 04:26, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Sjones23: At least it's weekly. I've already pre-planned a handful of summaries. And remember: the summary for "A New Hope" doesn't reveal Darth Vader's identity one movie ahead. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 04:56, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, given that we've worked on Star Wars articles before at some point. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 18:15, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

October 2018[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give List of Fairy Tail Zero episodes a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name.

Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:14, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you are an experienced editor, I'd have thought you would have known not to do that. I've also blanked the Episodes section of that page and listed it at WP:copyright problems, as it appears that at least some of the episode summaries were copied from external sources such as this page, which is dated 23 January 2016. Can you explain how that could have happened? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:19, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Justlettersandnumbers: I personally wrote that summary for Wikipedia on the 22nd of January that same year back when the episode list was located on the Fairy Tail Zero article itself, as you can see here. I understand where you're coming from, but I don't appreciate the accusation that I copied work from another site when the opposite is just as common of a practice. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 19:41, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Justlettersandnumbers: From what I understand, the only editing mistake I made was ignoring the proper procedures for moving a page when there is already an existing redirect. As the one who created the redirect in light of the verification that the series was considered to be "season 8", as it is now listed on Funimation's website—the prime determiner of season numbering on Wikipedia as agreed upon in this discussion—I made the hasty decision to make the move myself; if not for the redirect, I would have used the tab immediately. As for the website you claim I copied from, I've made my case on the relevant discussion page. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 20:52, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, let's hope that covers everything and the copyright matter can be closed (I won't be doing that myself, though). There is another thing: you apparently copy-pasted content from this version of Fairy Tail Zero to create the list, but you didn't provide any attribution as our licence requires. Could you fix that? – the {{Copied}} template on both talk-pages is a handy way of doing so. If you'd rather I did it, just say. Could I also ask you to check if there've been any other times when you've moved content by copy-pasting, whether into existing pages or to create new ones? Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:22, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Justlettersandnumbers: I would appreciate it if you made the fix, as I haven't found the templates with the talk pages. As for previous instances of copy-pasting, there was one where I moved the content from List of Fairy Tail spin-off manga to List of Fairy Tail volumes; I stated the name of the article it was copied from, but I didn't link it (Old revision of List of Fairy Tail volumes). The only other copying was done on personal sandboxes. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 21:52, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Justlettersandnumbers: It is done. I'm now looking through my past contributions to find any other similar copy-pastes. Then once the copyright issue is lifted, I can request the merge for this page, correct? User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 00:55, 9 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the Fairy Tail DVD releases[edit]

We may need to discuss on how we should approach the home media sections for seasons seven and nine of Fairy Tail. As far as I know, Japan has not released any home media releases for these seasons, but Funimation has. Is it possible to note the unavailability of the seasons' DVD/Blu-ray releases in Japan? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 01:54, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Sjones23: We should probably only mention their unavailability if there's an actual, verifiable reason for it. Otherwise, simply listing the ones that have already been released and leaving it at that should speak for itself, or else it will look like a directory, which it shouldn't do. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 02:48, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. Of course, in the list for the fifth season episodes of One Piece, the lead does note that the 4Kids adaptation wasn't released on DVD. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 02:51, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Sjones23: Not anymore, it doesn't. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 03:19, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've just got a confirmation for the DVD releases through the official website; they're releasing the entire series over the next few months. Would that work? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 01:44, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Sjones23: As long as it's formatted properly, go for it. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 01:45, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Roxas' image[edit]

Do you think Roxas' image should be changed since it became kind of dated. Did Nomura drew one of him? Also, a user recently changed Sora's image but I don't know exactly how it would be kept considering the character has had multiple costumes across the franchise. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 16:30, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Tintor2: The quality of Roxas's image is pretty iffy, like it was cropped from a magazine scan. It should definitely be changed to something else. But why do we prioritize illustrations over other official art, exactly? After all, the drawings of Terra, Aqua, and Ventus are all technically concept art. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 03:05, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There is not a rule but most Final Fantasy characters use for some reason concept arts. However, both FAs Tidus and Lightning use concept art and CGI model, respectively. Guess there is not rule for images, but I wanted to know your opinion since you are also skilled with these articles. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 16:02, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
To editor Tintor2: If we can't find an illustration (though I recall there being one for the full body), we should use clean, rendered images, and not necessarily ones with both Keyblades. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 23:11, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Fairy Tail episode lists for FL?[edit]

I've been thinking about getting the Fairy Tail episode lists up to FL status (the first six seasons at least). We've got the lead up to three paragraphs and there are episode summaries for individual episodes. However, I've discovered that we don't have any sections for the home media releases. Thoughts on how we should proceed here before I nominate it? Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 00:11, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Sjones23: By all means, if home media sections will bring it a step closer. But before nominating anything, we'll need to go over the episode summaries to see if they are suitable. It has been some time since I last viewed them. Also, I came across a DVD listing with better quality images, plus DVD covers for Seasons 7, 8, and 9. Note that these DVDs use the terms "2nd" and "3rd Season" on the covers. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 00:23, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization[edit]

Well, I guess it's like the case we had with Aeris/Aerith. The most common and relevant way of writing a name should be best. For example, Son Goku was moved to Goku, not only due to the Son barely being present in English regions but also because that was done in order to avoid disambiguation pages.Tintor2 (talk) 17:50, 15 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You are invited to join the discussion at Talk:List of Fairy Tail characters#New consensus for characters. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 18:58, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Sjones23: As it happens, I'm already trying to restructure the article again; the changes to Yukino and Minerva's sections were part of that. The big clincher here is that I'm trying to clear up space by splitting the entire "Secondary Fairy Tail members" article off into a "Fairy Tail (fictional guild)" article in the same vein as quite a lot of Sailor Moon groups (Dark Kingdom, Black Moon Clan, etc.), keeping the seven "Team Natsu" characters and perhaps others based on consensus (namely Laxus, Gajeel, and Juvia). The obstacle for why I didn't make it sooner was a lack of verifiable sources discussing the creation and reception of the guild as a whole and not just individual members, though that's coming along whenever I see fit; the ANN coverage for the final season might yield some extra material.
On a side note, whenever I see a huge cluster of names listing members (the OS, GH's Seven Kin, the Nine Demon Gates, the Spriggan 12, and the zodiac spirits), I'm experimenting with turning them into bullet lists with concise character descriptions (very slightly more than what's there, but only slightly) and their actors, listing creation and reception notes for them at the bottom of each subsection wherever applicable. They're listed on official anime websites, so I think we can spare it, especially with the extra space from cutting the top article. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 14:39, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, I see. After all, consensus can change; some of the characters should not be covered in sections of their own, but I think we should reevaluate some of their importance at this point. I’m only trying to help, as usual. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 21:22, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Advice about Japanese punctuation[edit]

I have no knowledge about Japanese language so I would suggest talking in the project. There is a user who often helps me with Japanese material, User:Protodrake, who might be helpful in this case.Tintor2 (talk) 21:53, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

May 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Airtransat236. I noticed that you recently removed content from List of Edens Zero chapters without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Helpful image[edit]

Hi there. I noticed you edited Mashima's series and I have been trying to replace the one from Rave's character list. I added https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ravecharacters.jpg this but it seems reversed for the Spanish serialization judging by tattoos and Haru's arm. Even in twitter I can't seem to find the correct version of the page. Cheers. Tintor2 (talk) 22:16, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That would be Chapter 130, and I'm afraid that's the only color version of it that isn't poorly split down the middle due to the page separation. This double spread cover for Chapter 250 (https://i.imgur.com/KVFAOFF.png) may be a good substitute since it has a lot of main and supporting characters, but it's a standard non-color page. To editor Tintor2: Did you see the image? I wonder if I screwed up the reply notification before. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 11:36, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh sorry, I was confused with other notifications. Feel free to replace it.Tintor2 (talk) 22:28, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if you noticed by I tried creating Haru Glory. It still needs some fixes (like finding commentary from his actors) but the creation and reception sections seem enough. Feel free to edit it if you are interested. I chose that pic since the user who made Natsu used the first volume of Fairy Tail so I wanted to do the same with Haru (also, he's wielding the most notable weapon he has). Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 22:30, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

To editor Tintor2: For the time being, I put up a cleanup tag for issues that need revising, mostly around spelling, grammar, tonal issues, and the distinction of the plot summaries across different pages. Mind you, while I have a broad understanding of Rave Master, my knowledge about it is not nearly as in depth as it is with Fairy Tail and Edens Zero, so it will take more time on my part to revise. I also recommend adding more media appearances like video games. Otherwise, the general layout appears to be sound. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 00:50, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

November 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! silvia (inquire within) 01:58, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Pokémon episode titles[edit]

Since you're the expert in Japanese it seems, you're more than welcome to add the titles for future episodes when they are revealed from now on. I did the best I could without having any knowledge of the language. Yowashi (talk) 19:26, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
