November 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Jeff G.. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Aditya Narayan, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 07:28, 26 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

December 2013[edit]

Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Aditya Narayan. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 14:14, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Udit Narayan may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • | birth_place = [[Baisi]], [[Supaul District]] [Bihar]]

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 13:45, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Udit Narayan, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 14:54, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Udit Narayan. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 17:04, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to Udit Narayan[edit]

If you wish to contribute to the page, please:

  1. Point us to reliable published sources regarding Udit Narayan's birthplace, or at least explain on the article talk page why the currently cited source (this Times of India article) should be disregarded
  2. Read wikipedia's policies on conflict of interest and if you are related to the subject, ideally restrict your edits to the article talk page instead of editing the article yourself

If you follow the above two recommendations, we can try to help resolve your concerns. Otherwise, it is likely that you will be blocked from editing wikipedia altogether, which is hardly the desirable outcome for you or the wikipedia article. Hope you'll heed this advice. Cheers. May 2014[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Aditya Narayan. You have been warned twice before. Your only edits have been to remove any trace of Nepal from the article. I have banned editors from removing any trace that he is from India. Any more removal of Nepal from the article will result in you being banned. Bgwhite (talk) 22:07, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Imadityanarayan", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it contravenes WP:REALNAME, particularly with regard to problematic edits on Aditya Narayan. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you Dl2000 (talk) 03:07, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
