Your point is well taken....ie. what is notable and what isn't. The tag, which I placed, hopefully is not a prelude to a delete but will prompt editor(s) to dig deeper on this subject. A section on notable alumni would be a good example. What is special about the school itself? (it's role in the community; etc.). Your references are correct in pointing out some fairly mundane articles on the general subject. Make the case for this one with additional material and it will survive and improve.
