Managing a conflict of interest

Hello, Iamsammyporter. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Sammy Porter, you may have a conflict of interest.

The Pic you uploaded

Hello! Just wanted to drop you a note amidst all the automated messages above, regarding the picture you uploaded, and just now uploaded the full version. The thing is, even though you say you took the pic, since you named it as being from a copyrighted web site, we need some additional verification that the copyright owner (you) really are who you say you are. This is for yours and our legal protection (to prevent someone from stealing your image and saying they own it, for example, we would need proof from them too).

For privacy reasons, that proof would not be done here. Rather, you should email permissions-en@wikimedia.org, referencing the picture's name here, and they will take it from there.

The other thing to be aware of when uploading pictures here, is that by doing so, you are effectively licensing anyone, anywhere, to use that pic for any purpose, as long as they credit the source. This includes using for financial gain if they wanted to. All they have to do to comply with the license is list a url back to wikipedia. I imagine a lot of people who upload works like the one you did, are not aware of this. If you're not comfortable licensing the work that way, reply here and I can tell you how to have it removed. If you are ok with that license, then proceed with emailing the above address, and once they get it all sorted, then all the alarm tags and whatnot will be removed from the image and it will be good to go.
