hello,

April 2018[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Request reason:

I've been making minor corrections and additions on wikipedia for 14 years now. Sometimes anonymously, sometimes using this account. Being multilingual I used to link pages between languages (links between languages were from inside the articles. not anymore). I've been using this username on multiple sites, it never caused me any problems. except on turkish wikipedia which moved my contributions to "IIIIIIIII~trwiki" and blocked both usernames. I don't want to change my global username just because of tr.wikipedia, I like my username. The ban made me stop contributing to wikipedia in turkish. When I checked back today (having more time under french covid-19 confinement), I've seen discussions on many other arbitrary decisions of moderators. Would it be possible to get my account unblocked on tr.wikipedia? I don't want to bicker with them about their local authoritarianism that seems to be present even on wikipedia, I just want to contribute in turkish too.

This is from the global log: "Blocked indefinitely. Reason: #9-Uygun olmayan kullanıcı adı

   editing (sitewide)
   autoblock disabled
   cannot edit own talk page"

I would also like to have my contributions which are moved to username "IIIIIIIII~trwik" back under my global username. IIIIIIIII (talk) 02:05, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

As Ohnoitsjamie says, below, nobody here can do anything about tr.wiki. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 03:14, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

We don't have anything to do with the administration of tr.wikipedia. OhNoitsJamie Talk 02:52, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
